Got to say I do think there was an element of malice in it - the glee he shared with Gollum and co and the Rovers board and fans was plain to see.

He's shown no remorse for the way he left us in the $h1te for the rest of that season with no chance of signing a decent replacement. Instead, he's made triumphant periodic appearances in the media protesting too much his requests for privacy and promises of his book which will reveal the "true" story (inferring how hard he was done to at Hull).

No mention of the moral and financial support Hull gave him during his two scrapes with the law to say nothing of the repeated scandals which were kept as quiet as possible by the club. Instead all we hear is some humbug claptrap about playing for his boyhood team.

I'm certain he loved the scandal and the sense of importance it gave him at the time. I'm also certain that there was a degree of sticking it to the Hull board. Greedy and selfish AND malicious, imo.

You're right, and I can't really rationalise it. But I do think that if he'd signed that contract and all the registrations had been in order, he'd still be at the club and on the form of 2005/6 and the pivotal role given to him, we'd be challenging. Maybe with him, Long and Horne as 3 pivots.

Fair enough. Like I say, I can't rationalise it but I do feel sorry for him. I'm usually [uvery[/u good at grudges as well.

TBH I got the sense that it was 100% about the money and for all the joining his boyhood team etc, I never really felt his engagement was that genuine, maybe because of his hate-hate affair with Morgan.

Any news on when Jimmy boy Rule will be commencing legal proceedings against Paul Cooke for breach of Contract, and Rovers for enticing a contracted player.

Last I heard from the boy Rule almost 2 years ago, was that they were just finalising their legal position, but were in no rush.

I really dont understand why you' feel sorry for him ' He new exactly what he was doing - I will never forget Galpharm and Cardiff - I will watch my DVD 's forever and he will always be a hero in that 'moment in time' but anything after no way.
