your right about thurston, but east hull fc is right in saying about signings. Not much will happen this year. If all is to be believed we did try for fielden and LMS but they didnt come off. If theres nobody better on the market that will improve us we should stick with what we have. Next year should be a massive year for big singings though

to be fair there are a few players about. bosc, elima, pryces , fielden and afew good young uns in the NL's that are worth a look at. What happend to the calls that we are prepared to buy players that are contracted and pay a fee? lets get these rumours flowing again.

Agree with all that. The biggest positive for me has been the retention of Tickle who looked set to go, so felt like it was a new signing as he would have been very very difficult to replace like for like. Also on the positive side we've not done too badly this year without our halves on the pitch and aren't really weakening as such, so in theory might do better next year. On the flipside Wigan, Bradford, Rovers and Salford will all be stronger judging by their signings thus far.

out of all of agars problems so far . he does seem to get a signing right. lets hope he pulls a couple more off this year.

Close to a "reported" 413,000 per year, if other "reports" are true Orford got pretty damn close to it, Thurston is twice the player Orford ever was (IMO) and would be a few years younger. So i could see it, especially if his G/F get's a job at the same club

Seriously though, Long leaves end of 2011(although I have a sneaky feeling he'll get an extension) We have 3 top earners OOC and Lauaki. We don't have a 7 ready yet in the reserves(Williams is at least 3 or 4 years off IMO). That's a shed load of cash, a couple of quota spots and at least a year to sort it out.
When you think that we don't need to replace Berrigan(Houghton) and probably not Fitz either(Washy/Westerman?) We should be able to get a top drawer 7 from Oz.
Who's OOC in 2011 or might want to come to SL?
