i think us not winning nowt since 2005 as you put it had a little more to do with the quality of the other players and the great Richard Agar than the ability of Manu. If we had had a few more players of Willi's quality in the side since 2005 and a coach who new his from his elbow we probably would have done a hell of lot better than we have.

Saints are weaker than they have been for many a year. Their backs are average at best, their halves are struggling and the likes of Perry are massively under performing. They're in transition. Roby can only carry them so far.

Of course Ellis main reason he joined us was money, he did turn down more money elsewhere though (could have been widnes). There is no way Manu would turn down a bigger offer and longer contract to sign for someone else at this stage in his career.

Agree to an extent. They need a couple of key Signings but Brown will improve their young players and they will challenge.

Losing Manu is a big blow, but we have a world class replacement signed, and would essentially be dropping first team players to accomodate this signing.
Could end up being a blessing regarding squad balance.
To those saying that we will win a trpohy before Saints, or that they are a club in decline, I just cannot believe what you are saying / thinking.

I think the club just need to let every-one know what most of Hull already know, announcing it next week after Wigan have ripped us a new one will hardly get the punters back through the gates

It proves nothing of the sort. A very good player is leaving and being replaced by a better one - I don't see that as a blow. Unless our entire plan for the next few seasons now has to be scrapped I don't see it as a blow.
