| I thought Hulls away following to Warrington a couple of weeks ago was terrible and their worst following for a number of years. i think were just going to have to accept that apart from local derby games , travelling fans for a lot of teams are getting lower year upon year. Leeds' away following inparticular is becoming very poor considering they are 'Champions' clubs definitely need to come up with some ideas to try and encourage travelling fans, whether that be lowering prices for just away fans (i personally wouldnt have a problem with that as i know the cost to get to matches) its really difficult to have any atmosphere in a game with 2 - 500 away fans. The RFL need to look at it

| I must admit. I was at the game on Sunday and thought the Clark was going to introduce himself personally to the Huddersfield fans when he went round the ground pregame.

| Quote ="jools"If you read my post you would see that I did buy "in advance" I bought on thursday -which by most peoples definition is "in advance" but not hulls. Not knowing the area and given the recent "bricking" problems I neither know where nor would want to park my car on street near the ground. My mum at 74 can't be walking a long distance.
Since writing my original post the giants have "stuck one" on hull- they rang me amd said that they thought it unfair fc don't count Thursday as buying in advance so gave me the extra money back and will tell the club that all tickets sold were done so before Thursday- as apparently other clubs have done this season too.
Using the stadium and using leeds as an example is a rubbish excuse- you charge more for away fans for similar seats, and the galpharm manage to not charge you £25/£19/£15 for similar facilities with fewer numbers!'"
As you got your money back for the buying in advance that's one less thing for you to moan about. For what it's worth, it's on the clubs website when they regard buying in advance to end, if you didn't check that it's hardly their problem.
If you absolutely have to park in the stadium car park then you can't complain if you get charged, you would have been charged a similar amount at any other clubs official car park so I don't see how that can be complaint against Hull.
The away seats are the second cheapest area of the stadium, only the south stand is cheaper due to a season long discount (a reward for home fans, similar to your give away season pass prices), this has been done to death, either sit in the south stand or enjoy the away end which is still cheaper than the other two sides of the ground.
How is using Leeds as an example a rubbish excuse? They overcharge for the facilities they have making our prices/facilities seem good value by comparison.
Granted you offer cheaper tickets for away fans than we do, but you still made a hell of a lot more money from our fans this season than we did from yours.

You would have got more than 7,865 people from hull turning up if it was at the KC.

I suggest you look at the website yourself. I've attached the page that refers to tickets that I DID look at -it doesn't refer on the match day ticket page to a date for advanced tickets- it just says in advance. Tickets bought by most away fans will be pay on the day and hence more expensive than anywhere else on the ground- concessions and juniors aren't cheaper - for a worse view too!
Hudds fansadmit our support is poor- but it's going in the right direction unlike most-including yours. why can't hull fans admit their pricing system stinks. Perhaps we should charge just hull fans £7 extra when they come to the galpharm- I'm sure they'd all quite happily hand it over without a grumble.

Hull's pricing policy for away fans is poor, it gets tiresome reading all the posts about it and personally I hope they change it for next year. North stand should be same as South on a pre-purchase basis with a couple of quid more for paying on the day. Regarding the pre-purchase offer endiing a few days before the game this practise not only operates at Hull. Hull website normally issues a message such as "only two days left to buy tickets at discounted price"

So you saw the word 'advance' decided in your head what day constitutes as advance and then complained when you were wrong. As it doesn't say on the website either a phone call or an email would have done the trick. As I said you've got your money back so stop winging.
Why will tickets bought by most fans be pay on the day? The system for increasing prices on the day is one that operates at most clubs anyway, nothing unique to us there, if you don't want the price hike then buy in advance. Plus you put money back into your club by doing so.
For what it's worth I don't agree with the pricing structure, I can see why away fans complain about the difference, but we don't benefit from the offers other clubs put on for their home fans such as your season tickets or the broncos 4 games for £30 deal, you don't hear Hull fans complaining about that though.
You could charge £10 more for Hull fans and we could give our tickets away for free to your fans and we'd still take more.
Bottom line, if it's too expensive, don't pay for it but if you choose to pay for it, then don't complain about it.

Daft lad. The North Stand at Headingley is a great old stand, full of character and history, and most importantly it's full every week unlike your library of a stadium. As for the statement "crumbling around you", what a fool.

I can only assume that post was tongue in cheek otherwise it was laughable!
"Great old stand" roughly translated means old, dilapidated and awful facilities. You also get to pay the highest price for any super league game (£27) for the privilege.
Oh btw, it's easier to fill smaller grounds, just a thought.

I take it you haven't sat in there for some time?
Its crampted (seats anywhere other than the paddock are too small and there is no leg room to speak of).
Its badly rusted and in need to significant repair.
If by "full of Character" you mean old, you are right.
There are several areas within that stand which have obstructed views
To even suggest its full every week is not only wrong it shows how blinkered you are.
If you consider someone with a drum, another with a trumpet and the rendition of a few Leeds United songs as atmosphere, you are very welcome to it.
