We have had in the last couple of years some good players and coaches, but attitude has always been an issue. That nil in the scoreline is the biggest indication that attitude could be changing.

Thought Mini was quietly efficient, not MOM though. Think that was from Watts, Ellis, Pryce, Shaul or Sneyd.

My personal choice would be Pryce, but Watts had an impact to his runs I've never seen from him before.

Anyone who watched the Derby and didn't become blinkered by the final score shouldn't have been surprised by this result.

In the first half, with our best 13 on the park, we were as dominant as I have seen us for a long time. Seems like that intensity was carried into today.

A lot of positives today and no real negatives. We have cause for cautious optimism and should be very happy tonight but lets not get carried away.

As others have said, careful not to get carried away, Warrington on Friday, tough game after tough game in the weeks ahead as well. Defensively I would say we were solid, I was impressed, forced a lot of errors from Huddersfield and stayed focused.
I must say though, the top of the table looks good this week!

Anyhow, this is why you should not read to much into pre season i guess. Nilling a team at home is a great effort, was it excellent defence by you lot, or just poor shoddy attack from Hudds? or a mixture of both?

Mix of both, but our defence hit really hard and was well organised so it put them off their stride and little worked for them.

The right side of our defence looked great. We have always looked weak on that side. Great atmosphere yesterday. You can only beat what is in front of you which we did well. I think the scores this weekend show that there are no easily games this year. Roll on Friday.

Nilling a team away from home who regularly gets top 4 these days.. With a team still trying to get to know each other and gel is a fantastic achievement for anybody.
Forget the disrupted pre season rubbish some of our fans and our coach has said... We didn't bang on about it last year when we beat Wigan.

I'm not getting carried away, it was a good all round performance. Friday should give us a better judge of how we'll go this season.

Exactly, just an enjoyable opening round with glimpses of some good stuff. Enjoying this week, Friday comes round soon enough and anything could happen, Wire tipped by some to win the competition. Will be interesting, hope they rest anyone with a slight niggle.
