I usually defend our local media but that report has been cobbled together from stuff off the internet in the last few hours. There's not one single quote in the piece, pure guess work.

Hope your right, don't get me wrong the guy has been a great player in his time but he is 34 yrs old with his best days behind him, he certainly does not fit into young promising British players which AP has alluded to, all a bit confusing to me.
Unless of course the price is right and he is brought in for a bit of cover and mentoring the young ones which would not be a bad thing.

I would put my morgate on the fact it would not be a large wedge, his family is settled so he may have been offered a wage to reflect his age with a view to a bit of mentoring/coaching and cover, and thinking about that it would not be a bad deal at all.
