I, for one was dismayed by both the Cockayne sentence and the Hull signing of Reardon. However, Cockayne has been given a chance to atone for his actions by the judge and by HKR. If Reardon is offered a similar chance by the judge presiding in his case, then perhaps FC can offer him the same chance to atone. High profile offenders can make a positive contribution to the initiatives that help victims and help to prevent others from making the same devastating choices that they made.
