I can think of three errors in the first half. The one you mentioned and twice when he couldn't take in short passes from Manu.

On that occasion I think he was guilty of playing the ball too quickly without checking if anyone was in position. He must've known that, after a long kick, there were only two back, plus himself. One (Briscoe) was covering the opposite touchline. The other (Hall) had just wrapped around and given Calderwood the ball inside. As a result, there was very little chance of anyone getting to the PTB in time and, in rushing to do so, Hall came up with the error.

Cant believe he is still getting blamed for us playing poorly. What a joke!

If we follow the same logic we can expect Lewis Hamilton to be up before the beak for stealing a Brawn car, it's the only way he'll win a race in the foreseeable future.

You cannot blame Claderwood, can anyone identify a singe occasion where he failed to capitalise on an overlap etc.

The first Salford try, Briscoe should have done a lot better clearing up the kick and if it was Calderwood he would have lamented for poor positioning and for not diving in.

Thats how i saw it....Hutchie must have had a worse view.....he sits in front of me.....

I think he could have done more, when the camera goes out the player who scored the try was way behind him, for me he should have dealt with that.

Don't know why we bothered signing Calderwood cos he gets no service atall, the only time he touches the ball is when he comes inside. There was that comical moment on sunday when he did take the ball, played it quickly and no FC player bothered to make acting half, Craig Hall tried bless him but coughed up it up like a good 'un. You could have Superman on one wing and Spiderman on the other but without the ball it would make no difference....mind you..Superman and Spiderman may offer more in defence..

They could go for a cheaper option and put Hutchie on the wing.

I sit in the corner it was scored in, Briscoe had plenty of time to deal with it TBH. He simply didn't react quickly enough or make enough effort to deal with it.

Any criticism of Tom Briscoe is blasphemy and all perpetrators, if found, will be strung up by their buster browns.

From what i saw he had to turn and make it accross but it was still 50/50 and was not helped by Yeamo dashing out and slipping.

For me on a kick like that the winger can only save a try and unless he makes a glaring cock up then its not his error. Bit like a goal kicker missing goals being blamed for costing us a match

In most cases I'd agree, but he really should have got there first IMO. He had about a 4 yard start with only 5 to cover IIRC. The fact he didn't even get a hand to it was awful.
