| Pearson changed his email address a few days before the game. Thats a fact.
I won't be going anywhere near the Challenge Cup game, no matter if we win next week or the week after.
Get f&king rid of the broken toothed time-waster. He sounds utterly clueless in post-match conferences.

| Remember this from last October?
Quote
"It's a pivotal year for us next year.
"If we don't do well, fans won't be hearing me talking the team up again.
"I genuinely feel we have a real chance of doing something next year and respecting the tradition of the club by winning matches in style.
"I sense everyone at this club, from staff, coaches and players is focused on success next season.
"I just sense this is our time. I really feel we will make in-roads next year."
"That's a fact. We do want to be in the top four and we want to win things. Nobody more so than the coach.
"We want to bring the whole club back together next year with bigger crowds, more wins and exciting rugby.

| That email from AP is absolute drivel.
That is just a sales pitch to get extra season pass sales. Thankfully living in Oz means I cabt buy a pass but if I had one I'd mail it back to AP or nail it to door of our training facility.
I'll put money in it that LR will never be a successful SL coach. Once he eventually gets the boot, name me 1 club that would take on his services. I really want to know what he whispered into APs ear to get PG the sack.
Club Hull.......? Club Fail

Here's an idea: If Radford is so brilliant at the behind the scenes stuff, give him the CEO job and hire a proper coach, because the number 1 priority for the coach should be on the pitch and we're clearly s**t at that.

Good idea.
In my line of work the only way to deal with an incompetent manager is to keep promoting them until they can't do any more damage. Its called the Dilbert Principle.
Radford was a mediocre player, got promoted to bad captain, then became awful assistant coach, then disastrous head coach. The guy is a natural born CEO.

That statement by Pearson is the biggest work of fiction to come out of this club in a long while
Or is it the case that Pearson and/or indeed the players wouldn't allow Gentle to change things..period

You're joking , right? You missed off the ?
He's a common denominator more so than Radford. He's one of the reasons that AP can't sack Radford , there'd be no point if Last was to come in. And then who is there? Horne. Another one who knows nothing other than mediocrity in Hull and has no experience of the wider World. How is Andy Last going to be credible when setting out his ideas to Minichello , Ellis , Pryce , Sa et al? Better to sack Last and spend on an attack coach/new assistant/rugby advisor call them what you like but someone with experience and influence that could just maybe drag this season out of the fire and provide a bit of impetus and positivity to spark the players into life.

You would think that doing lots of strength and conditioning work is a good thing, the more the better. At least we will be fit and strong.
This couldn't be further from the truth, there is a fine tipping point were you begin to get weaker and impair your fitness if to much of the same style of training is carried out. This to me looks exactly like FC at the moment. They clearly don't spend a lot of time on attacking drills and creative play, so the theory must be lets make them the biggest, strongest and fittest in the league. Unfortunately they are non of those things, likely because they are doing so much of it they are over training in specific areas, remember during the season you have to factor the impact of games in as well.
If anyone knows the strength and conditioning team at FC, ask a very simple question of them. Are any of the players this week able to lift or improve their one rep maximum on any of the major compound lifts. If not then serious questions should be asked.

| Something tells me Cas may be his last game, no proof, just a hunch and a hope
if we get kicked out of the cup by our balls being strung up on the fence which is a possibility right now i believe Pearson will be simply embarrassed into action , I can only hope he takes the support coaches out with the same shot

| Ive said many many times before, and as usual ive been slagged of by the IAKOW brigade, the club hull fc is an utter shambles, and an embarrassment, one of which started circa 2006 and will probably see us in the championship 10 years later, appalling recruitment coupled with mind boggling manergerial descions have left us in a right pickle.... the chairman, god bless him , had all the intentions of taking us to the top but entrusted certain individuals to take us there on his behalf, due to his lack of rl knowledge, and they led him down the garden path, bigtime... mcrae looked like he was here to sign his mates and line his pockets, which to be fair, he did...... a succesion of terrible appointments in my opinion have left us looking like an amateur team, but employing an amateur teams coach, whar did we expect?? I can only see us heading one way, and thats to oblivion. .. quickly, unless something changes even quicker... i have no faith in ANY member of fc's coaching team or recruitment team (motu tony) to deliver us a winning team, either now or in the future... games are like the atmosphere .. drab and boring, culminating in fans dismay at the utter drivel which is served up by the most expensive fc team of all time, a team which is at full salary cap, a team with players deemed not good enough for superleague, a team with pkayers miles past there best and youngsters whove stagnated since breaking into the first team... i like many others will not be reneweing, its got to a point of not even wanting to go this year....if adam pearson reads this, which i very much doubt, id say, wake up and smell the coffee, your business and our club is failing, badly, your product in which us consumers buy isnt quality and not value for money. ..your ciach is way way out his depth, and so are many others who you employ...be bold, be professional and do the right thing for thr club, yourself and the fans...before its too late

Signs regarding Horne look good so far so if there was a clear out then he would be worth retaining IMO. In fact I'd say anyone else associated with the U19's should be kept on. They seem to be doing a good job.

| Surely there are other assistant out there who could come in and do a supporting job with a view to eventually having effectively two head coaches. I like Radders. I think the ethos of the club and (generally) the defensive displays have been ok. I just think he needs a bit more support in attack, because it really is dire.

| For me the problem still remains in that the club constantly rewards failure when it comes to the Coaching appointments. In that I mean we have always promoted the assistants to failed Head coaches. These assistants have been part and parcel of the general malaise and poor performances so should have gone at the same time as the Head Coaches.
For Radford to have been any kind of success he would have either needed Head Coach experience at this level or been appointed with the club at the top of its game in terms of on the field success.
Pearson was right in the appointment of Gentle but unfortunately he was let down by McRae the same as Pearson himself. I also think that Radford was riding on the back of what Gentle had put in place but now is lost and sinking.
Currently with Radford and last who have seen very little outside the bubble of Hull FC as coaches we could have the current Australian National Team as our 1st team squad but we would still fail due to the poor coaching and inability to change the game plan and instill a winning mentality into the players and bring the best out of them.
If Pearson fails to axe Radford soon then he wont have to worry too much about the fans reaction at the games as there will be very few left.

If I was AP and had the money to do it I'd find a new experienced coach with his own assistants who have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Hull or the Club or area. I'd out all of the existing incumbents which may be harsh on Horne but he needs to go and learn the job elsewhere first. The club is insular and amateurish in , at least , all of it's customer facing aspects and regrettably getting worse. The good back office people have gone or are going and we're left with a group headed by "Clarkie" who epitomises everything bad about communication and PR. His spin is just hollow and is convincing less and less people all of the time.
Of course that won't happen or can't happen for reasons that only AP knows but it's looking more and more likely it's a lack of funds or an unwillingness to throw good money after bad ( regardless of why we're in this position it's still his money and the current situation is hardly going to enthuse him to keep on spending). I think he's got his eggs in the Challenge Cup basket and believes that Wakey will save us from relegation this year. If that is the case and he's quietly looking for a replacement coaching team then I guess it makes some sense to do nothing now. From a season pass sale point of view he needs a big story if the season continues to go down the pan so a cup run in the short term and a new coach announced when the passes go on sale with a couple of signings may help bolster the numbers and persuade everyone to give him one more last chance. If he isn't looking for a replacement and prepared to admit to himself at least that Club Hull is the last thing an insular outfit at the end of the M62 needs then God help us.
If AP can't change the whole coaching set up then my plan B would be go get an experienced assistant or attack coach or DOR or whatever title you want to give him and replace Last now. Someone with some gravitas and respect in the game. If that cost double Last's salary until the end of the season it would be worth a shot. It might just give everyone a lift and enthuse the players enough to at least make an attempt to get in the 8.

But that's not the answer is it? - it would simply give Radford someone else to blame.
He would still be in overall charge. Game plan, team selection, recruitment etc & I don't know what an `attack coach is expected to do with
a 3/4 line of donkeys (Lineham excepted.).An `attack coach' would be looking for skill, pace & flair, & that type of player doesn't fit Radfords bash & barge `strategy'.
Can anyone tell me which one of those traits Talanoa. Yeaman, or Sa possess?
Yeaman - well past it,
Sa. - a couple of big hits on the opposition & 3 weeks injured
Talanoa - slow, dodgy under a high ball, but his enthusiasm seems to endear him to a lot of the fans,
We need a clearout ASAp overseen by a new coach, but I can't see it happening unless Pearson grows a pair.

Agree absolutely but the clear out won't/can't happen and the situation is desperate. Bringing someone in at least gives a chance of a short term improvement. If it fails then the clearout happens at the end of the season anyway. If it works it's because of the new guy.
