Looks like we have done all we can to keep him and although I don't all the facts I can't help feel disapointted in manu.be interested to see what he says about the move. Manu has turned us down. Gutted!!

I`m more disappointed than gutted, but if someone had said to me we`ll lose Manu and replace him with Ellis i would have been more than happy, it seems the club has done everything it could to persuade him to stay and he has chosen to leave, now is the time for the club to move on and look to strengthen the squad in areas other than the back row, who knows there could be some really exciting times ahead.

Well, if true, I'm disappointed, thought the club meant more to him. Which ever way you dress it up he's gone for the most money for a shorter period.
We've certainly had his best years and lets hope once it's sorted he can get back in form for the rest of the year and help us make a good fist of the play offs.

Very strange decision if true. With the new regime, Ellis coming in, exciting times ahead for the club, cannot believe that he would want to turn his back on that. Like others have said feck him. Maybe he thought the 3 yr deal would be the same as the original 2 he was offered, which I very much doubt it was tbh, but I doubt we will ever know.

Oh aye - at the moment we don't even have official confirmation that he's gone, let alone what deal he might have accepted. In the context of the conversation though it's a valid question.

But if all he was worried about was the total amount cash the contract was worth, why not make it plain that was the bottom line regardless of the length of contract?
