In my eyes AP played his trump card too early, and now when it really matters to get people buying season passes for next year we have (possibly) run out of signing to announce to get them flying out the door. The fact is there are several thousand people still not bought the pass and a star signing would get them moving. Another fact is AP has the money to pay for a transfer fee and we have lots of money available to pay a top player as well due to Rangi not coming and us releasing more players than we have signed.

Indeed, I don't think there are many posters who are "doom and gloom merchants" just some of us have a healthy dose of reality when it comes to making observations. You are quite right, Ap shot his bolt way too early, it will tak quite some effort to get back to the position he was in a few months ago in terms of the trust of some of the fans.
