For the ultimate victory, we need a philanthropist to come forward and offer to pay it as a gesture of recognising the clubs heritage.

This would be a gesture that actually gets under Allam's nose as the self styled philanthropist of the city. Someone getting recognised for doing something he wouldn't.

It is a face saving exercise for him but a massive victory for the fans, bit of a come down from £25,000. Yeh OK its £500 more than we should be paying but if they'd asked that in the first place we would never have had any idea there was a problem we'll await developments but if true the City fans won't be very happy. Council played a blinder Im told meetings for two days !

Reckon the Allams will have been on the phone getting Hudgell to present them with a £500 in the HDM.

I somehow think this is just the beginning not the end.
The Allams will come back fighting.
They had the mentality to buy YPI just because Adam Pearson was interested.

There must be a reason that Mr Allam is willing to accept such a low figure. I would be very wary. I reckon he just wants Hull to pay a few quid so that they are accepting the contract change. At present Adam Pearson may be arguing against it privately.
Paying it could open up a can of worms. What else could he change or charge for?

If it is £500 per year then we should pay for a few years in advance - the rate is fixed then. £25k (reputed) original fee gives us our pictures up for 50 years.

£500 a year Its funny really but I think he'll think twice next time I spoke to a councillor this afternoon at the Guildhall who had received over 150 E mails from FC fans, people on here who don't get on have joined together to fight the cause if this comes off its a great Victory for the faithful our heritage and Johnny Whiteley however I'll wait till tomorrow before I believe it though!

Still can't understand how we have to pay to hang a picture of someone in a suite which bears their name?? If this was Hull FC wanting to display pictures all over the stadium, then the Allams may have a point, but for them to take down pictures from Sir Jonnys own suite, come on!!
