Fizt will strengthen our squad in terms of playing ability and will go a long way towards adressing our problem of having no leadership. How can you possibly call someone who played for Australia 6 months ago a "paper over the cracks" signing, regardless of what position they play. Who is to say a scrum half won't be brought in as well.

Good signing IMO, he is a recognised goal kicker, the highest point scoring forward in the game and is the current captain of the Sydney Roosters and will bring experience and leadership to our squad.

That is a big plus point, as is his on and off the field charisma and leadership,. Against that you have his age, and the fact that he is another second rower.

Not saying he is, just that I hope he is. I think Tickle and Radford as a duo have about the least impact of any second row partnership in the league. I'd much prefer to see Fitz, Lauaki, Burnett and Manu battling for the two positions.

Solid enough signing and providing this is followed up with other signings in more important positions it will certainly improve the team. With him being a goal kicker could this show we are willing to let Tickle leave? I'd certainly let Radders go at the end of this season.
