Was always strange that the NRL stripped the clubs of their titles but not the players.

Right way to do it IMO, don't think it can justifiably be considered the players' fault so shouldn't be held against them.

I appreciate he has actually won the grand final but ATEOTD they cheated..

IIRC they didn't take the individual acheivement from the players as 'apparently' they had no knowledge of what was going on, but officially Melbourne Storm did not win those grand finals and therefor IMO those award hold sentimental value but aren't recogised!!

Not to those who won them I bet (unless they're called Keith Senior). ATEOTD, the players earnt them by going out there and giving their best, it's not their fault if the administrators had been breaking the rules, they weren't to know.

But they don't officially have an honour linked to the said award..

Kind of like, buying one of Seniors medals on eBay (other auction sites are available) doesn't mean that you have won the said honour just because you have the award!!

Also guess they will fetch some decent cash in the future as the winners rings for the club that never won the title. Those kind of things tend to have extra value.

I'd be interested in Chan or O'Hara if we could get them. Both good players in positions that we need to strengthen. However, I'm not sure what our exact situation is in regards to Quota & Non-Fed lists, and what the status is of those two.
