As many as the RFL rules state due to the time in which you signed the players. You see, when we built a squad we didn't do it for a short term fix, we brought players over who will will see probably 5 years of good service at least out of and now that is bearing its fruits.

If the Rugby League want to say to Rovers because you signed Vella, Lovegrove, Newton, Galea and Webster before such and such a date they don't count on the quota and you can within the rules sign x amount of overseas players what is wrong with it?

It's not Rovers who are saying balls to you the RFL, they are the ones registering the contracts at the end of the day

I think our squad looks very good at the moment and the set positions are still in the building stage.... as someone else said, next year will be the year for BIG signings but this year (2011) just needs tweaking and a little more luck with injuries IMO..

to give an honest reply, he gets lots of stick for some reason however if our centres / wingers were scoring as many has he has done recently we would all be very happy!!!
He has had his injury issues recently however he seems to have moved past all of that now and is doing ok.
i would be most happy if he was signed to answer the post

We absolutely need a HB and two quality props. Or a SR which would free up Lauaki or Fitz to move up. 3 more signings. Fielden, Chase/Robinson/Leulei and Westerman/Purdham !!!

Robinson would be a good idea for me as he can play Hooker also so can be used as a foil when Berro does go.

Just what I was thinking , a lot of squads are getting stronger but I don't feel ours is , still got time to sign players but personally don't see this happening maybe just 1 addition but not anyone major . Also longy , fitzy will be another year older and good chance will pick up injuries.Horney still can do a good job but his best days are gone and again can see him missing a lot of games.Wouldn't fancy having berro + washy at halfes again for a lot of games.

to be fair i think if we can get long on the island for longer next year it will be like having a new player anyway and his age has certainly not effected his appetite for the game

On the island ???? Agree he needs to play but he's going to be 34 and look at the injuries he's had there must take their toll.I think longy's a top bloke + player aswell just how it is regarding his age

as for SL he is extremely fit and looks after himself.. he will have a big year next year , the injuries he had this year were to be fair freak injuries that were not down to age wear and tear
