Bring Justin Morgan back to Hull. At least he can instill passion in his players and that's severely lacking at the moment. Morgan could start now as he's only working with Anderson at the refs gig. His family are still here as his girls are in school here. He'd have to move from East Hull though. Image the uproar there! Imagine Hudgell!!!! Morgan could do great things with a full purse......

It's ok people saying dont appoint an assistant , but rugbys not like football were there's loads of coaches / managers out of work and u can just have your pick . I do think that's why most teams go down that track though . It's either that or someone who as been sacked as when was the last time a coach left to go to another team while been under contract In sl .I posted it in jest earlier , but I could see us going for McNamara . If it wasn't him , someone in the championship or an assistant from the nrl .

Maybe cutting out the knock ons and penalties would also be an improvement.

Let's hope Paea hasn't got a release clause if we change the coach.

Problem is the top coaches in Oz are used to a high standard of player and coach accordingly. You can't simply bring that over here and expect our less skilled and less bright players to respond. I'd have thought coaching Australia would be a darn sight easier than coaching , say , Salford.

That's a Good point , But a double edge sword imo. Our game once frightened the Aussies with it's open flowing rugby , But then we got the influx of Aussie coaches who's philosophy was defence & field position . Boot on the other foot now .

Why is everyone pretending there aren't loads of top first team coaches waiting for a job? Brian Smith with Rohan Smith as assistant please!

My view on it is that individual players may have the odd bad game or go through a bad patch but when you have a group of players consistently underperforming then it's down to the manager/coach of that group of players.

I've said it many times, but the measure of a good coach is that he consistently gets the players performing near their best and gentle has done that precious few times in the near 2 seasons he's been in charge

Why?

There is a British coach who can motivate a team that started badly last year (and this year for that matter) to put a run together and surge into the playoffs.

As an assistant coach, it's absolutely impossible to judge anyone's coaching ability. We could judge if Tonga played more international games.

Instead of blaming Gentle,maybe the players just aren't upto it.....

Which players arent upto it...we have proven SL players and Internationals.

I am not trying to cause any ill feeling yes I am a kr fan, but I work with Ben Crooks sister and I asked her if he was ok, after he twisted his ankle on Friday she told me it looks like a fracture and he could be out for season, and he isn't happy with fc (Gentle) cos he knew he was injured before the match yet played him, and left people on the bench who is on more money than him. he has lost out on a place in semi final, and he really wanted to help achieve young player of the year for fc, me personally I think he deserves it he has being amazing for you guys.. hope he has a speedy recovery and isn't out too long for you

He should drop under performing players, but he wont so he has to take responsibility

Also out tactics are awful, again down to the coachs.

Gentle recruitment has also been very hit and miss.

Needs to turn it around in the league before the end of season or I would be looking for a new coach

31st May...we was unbeaten all through may,since then we have played 6 and lost 5.As for Dropping players...he only drops who he wants to drop...Yeaman didnt warrant dropping but a few others did and still do,with a couple of additions to the dropping squad.
