Jesus wept do you even bother reading peoples post properly ? I said I hope lessons are learnt and hopefully they will put a contingency plan in place in the future if games are delayed whereby fans can leave the stadium if they choose especially in such cold conditions, eg handstamp.

Health & Safety regulations would stop them being able to let people out and then back in to the stadium. And I'm sorry but it being cold isn't a good enough reason to break those, regardless of age.
And Hull FC only made two announcements - the 9:15 kick off and the postponement. The rest was Twitter and RH rumours.
Quite what they're supposed to communicate when facts are probably hard to come by I don't know.

You are allowed to leave the stadiums during the magic w/end whenever you like (they just stamp your hand) so how come these are not breaking these health & safety regulations ?

The reason we was told we could not leave by the fire officer was because our passes had already being put on the system so would not work again.

Aiming to be at the KC 2 hours before kick off is not good enough IMO, especially when you are travelling down a motorway at rush hour on Friday in winter. These are FT professional players, what else do they need to do before a match? And the Bulls are no better, they would have been late had it not been for a police escort.
There have been several delayed kick offs on Friday nights over the last few years due to problems on the m62, it makes our sport look amateurish.

Well it all seems a bit unprofessional to me. I played "amateur" county rugby union and we were expected to turn up at 8am - the earliest kick off was 2pm but once we had a 6pm floodlit game and we still had to turn up early. The envelope in the boot would be thinner if you were late!

But what do I know?

I can't go on Sunday so that's one game down on my pass.

No of course the club did not foresee this, however hopefully lessons will be learnt for the future should any long delays occur.

Will you be learning any lessons from this. Maybe in future take emergency rations and clothing just in case.

The reason they gave you is a health & safety reason, imagine trying to admit 8,000 fans through narrow turnstiles when maybe 30% are refused. That's a health & safety hazard, seriously, it's not that difficult to work out.

But wouldn’t any responsible person or parent, knowing that it was very cold (and poop happens) wouldn’t they have had some sort of contingency plan?

I think one lesson to be learned (at least by me) is don't buy a pass unless you can guarantee attendance any given friday, satuuday, sunday or monday.
