We were always going to be up against it in this match but that clown in the middle made it even more difficult.

This might explain his no show at Salford yesterday. We got Roby in as a late sub, and he can at least count to six.

I have sympathy for anyone watching a game where Childs is ref, by some distance, he's the worst official at the moment.

In his defence he can count to 6 unlike some officials. This bunch are without doubt the worst set of officials in RL history imo. not a single decent one amongst them.

Exactly and he wasn't free from controvesy himself during his career as a ref. The standard is very poor and something the RFL really need to pay serious attention too. I hate to say it but oh for the days when we had Russel Smith and even Ashley Klown.

Childs was bad yesterday (only ever seen 1 decent performance from him!) but you can't blame the outcome of the game on his decisions or indecision!

I got home and watched the Sky game and Ganson was in a league of his own! Stuart Cummings needs to get the refs sorted out because they're getting worse!

James Childs - Can't get a grip in the game and makes far too many incorrect decisions. Classic example of a ref who makes a wrong decison, realises it then gives the team a penalty later on!

Steve Ganson - Makes the rules up as he goes along! Ruins the game when he decides he's going to concentrate on one part of the game (i.e laying on) and penalise normally continously

Each super league game would probably turn out very differently depending on who is in the middle. I think this is just wrong.

TBF I dont think anyone has blamed him for the loss as it was inevitable that playing Rovers then the current league leaders who were able to rest players on Friday we would most likely be running on empty in the last 1/4 of the game.

the worst standard of refereeing this season i have ever seen in my 30 odd years of following the game.

Have some sympathy for them though , i think the game now is far too fast for only one official in the middle, half the time they cannot keep up with play, the game is light years different to what it was 30 years ago.
In the quest for a more appealing TV spectacle rules have being changed and tweaked, the game is so fast now. some games a virtually like touch rugbythe play the balls are so quick nowadays.
We either need more officials on the pitch ala American football or we need to slow the game down, tidy up the play the balls.

I think the ref in SL are pretty poor overall far too inconsistent, and the linesmen may as well not be there either, big investments needed for the sport imo.

quite good that it's been made public that he got a ban, refs need to be disciplined as much as players imo

Yup NRL have 2 Referee's every match, we only have 6 full time 1 can't count, another is a child, and we actually got rid of a clown says it all really.

Ganson has bottle unfortunatley he often uses it on incorrect decisions.

think from now on if child is in charge of a game away from home, i wont be going im going to keep my money in my pocket because he spoils every game i watch, the guy is a joke and just spoils the game as a spectacle everytime i watch him, its mistake after mistake with him i go to watch my team not the man in the middle
