I agree I think Whiting is a safe option for full back as cover but not the answer. I would however not be against Whiting getting a go in the number 6 shirt at some point.

Well with a lot of clubs choosing to play a prop at 13 and use their full back as a pivot it feels a natural progressing that 1 and 6 become a very similar role when in attack.

Yes from 2012. Didnt realise we were talking post-Horne/Long. In the now Eastmond isnt what we need. In 2012 next to Cronk he'd do very nicely.

I'd say Saint where guilty of rushing him back and overplaying him . He was certainly brought back to early from injury from last season.

What would be bad business is sticking £260k per year into your half backs when one had a background of being a unstable alcoholic jailbird, this coupled with stumping an upfront signing on fee to an overseas "star" before they have the right documents to travel to these shores and renting half of your proposed stadium rebuild on the hope your gates go up by 1500 shows the lack of business accument by some.
