| Meetings all day at the Guildhall but no news so far I wouldn't be surprised if after what Webbo said last night they are looking for a get out for both sides to keep some faith, like a peppercorn fee of a few hundred quid to reinstate everything. Still talking so I'm still hopeful hopeful of a resolution keep the pressure on!.

| Do you know what? I'm tiring of this now.
I like Hull FC.
I like Hull City.
I get bored rigid of FC and City fans arguing the toss.
I also think that taking down all our pictures, and making the KC look like it is occupied solely by Hull City, is disrespectful to our club. I suspect it's deliberate, but you would never be able to prove that.
So. Neither party should have to pay to put up some pictures. Put them back up, immediate problem solved. Refund whatever City paid.
Then. Sort out the SMC. Put someone in charge who isn't a football or rugby representative. Put a neutral in charge. Even better, ensure that both clubs are equally represented on the board of directors. This must happen, because if not, then every time anyone repaints one of the East stand toilets amber, it'll kick off again.
Tell Allam, clearly, that he can't have the stadium. It's the property of Kingston upon Hull and it's residents. If he wants to pay off City's debt, he'll have to find something else to remortgage.
Problem solved. Then we can move on.
The only other way this gets solved is if someone comes up with £40million quid and builds Hull FC a new ground, with some terracing. That's not going to happen, unless I win the Euromillions jackpot in a week or two. Then Allam can do what the hell he likes.
Either way, I'll still want both teams to do well.

Well if you have followed anything of Assem Allam and his dealings pre or post buying Hull City never be sure on anything as he is very much a loose cannon and a dangerous one at that. I have an awful feeling he is turning out to be an even bigger danger to both Clubs than David Lloyd was.
The fact is no one but the Allams know the real reason behind this but putting all the other bits and pieces together it is pretty clear the reasoning is certainly not down to the charge for putting up pictures, its personal.
I want to see both teams doing well as it brings alot to this City but Allam is doing all he can to destroy it for his own gain and anyone who supports football or rugby should be worried.
The Council should have appointed an independant management company to run the stadium and one that has a track record of running such. Plus each club should have had a representation on the board.
I also notice that many City fans are also ignoring the fact the Arena is now also unsponsored and no longer used by the Basketball team with the Hockey teams looking more likely to follow out the door. Seems to me he is trying to force the council to bow down to his request to be handed the stadium by systematically removing all revenue and making it reliant on him, so he can then massage his GOD complex and be the saviour of the City again and the Stadium alike.

Well said and Quite Right!
Shall we call a meeting with the Allams tomorrow, then?
Seriously, and sadly, the Council seem powerless to intervene for at least a few more years. so it's all down to Assem seeing the sense of your perfectly logical argument. Just don't think he'll seee it that way. Gonna be a long haul even if this immediate hurdle is overcome.

It's a puzzle isn't it. This is an issue between Hull FC and the SMC.
Unfortunately the lines are somewhat blurred between Hull City and the SMC. Not helped by the Allams putting forward City's MD to represent the SMC on Radio Humberside on Sunday afternoon.

I don't think it's feathering his nest , it's ego and that's worse because it isn't rational. A rational philanthropical man in charge of the SMC is fine even where there is a clear conflict of interest. When that man can't get his own way or is questioned and reveals his egotistical , controlling and irrational nature that conflict of interest becomes a nightmare.

| Great to see four pages coverage in today's Hull Daily Mail - two page interview with Johnny Whiteley and two pages of letters all against the removal of memorabilia. It's also mentioned in the editotial column.
Lets keep up the pressure.

What about "He's done this on purpose, so to receive so much s h i t that he uses it as the excuse to walk away" ?
It gives him the perfect excuse and blames us rugby supporters?

Also why do you all want the SMC in joint names now, your club passed up that opportunity to do so. You had the chance to have an equal say, and passed it up. So you can hardly moan about that.
That is enough from me, i am off to the game, i hope you wish us to win like i wanted you to win against Bradford, but i doubt it.

Someone who has admitted only being on here on a wind-up mission had probably better not plan on being around for long. Just saying.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Did each of us fans personally pass on this opportunity? Or was it out short sighted board at the time? Of course we can moan about this completely biased situation.
I wish the Allams would just turn around and say "here's £xmillion pounds, we'll buy the KC, you guys sort out FC and the city a new community stadium. Everyone's a winner." These issues will never crop up again then.
There are too many egos in football for them to ever get along without her parties. The council should look to get away.
