Typical classless behaviour from grudgell the flat track bully.
It was fine when he signed Cooke mid season and then signed Briscoe, hall and hodgson . He then said he wanted to re-sign all the east hull lads.
All of a sudden though, he's up against an owner in AP that is more than a match for him, and he can't handle it.
His behaviour towards a player that has put his body on the line for grudgells beloved club is disgraceful.
Paea is best out of there.
I just pity his replacement (no doubt currently playing for Newcastle knights second team).

No, iirc due to him playing at Leigh etc. he qualified for the exemption.

With bitter men like Hudgell and mad men like Koukash i am once again very thankful that we have AP at the club making sensible investments

Indeed. Would make Hudgell look even more ridiculous if he doesn't now sign.

I'd be inclined to go with what Hudge has said above and beyond what even I've been told. Surely he wouldn't go to the press without knowing the truth?

What I still don't understand is why Hudgell feel he needs to go to the media like some Crusader of Truth to the Rovers fans. All he has done is stirred up trouble for his club/team, Paea and himself. I could understand it if Paea was leaving Rovers hanging on promising to sign or had asked to leave with a year left on his contract but he hasn't he is fulfilling his contract with Rovers, so quite frankly he is as good as a Free Agent Paea. So surely is entitled to sign with whoever he likes and should have a right and expect this to be kept quiet until the end of Rovers season.
The only people at present who know for a fact who has signed for are Paea himself, his agent and the club he has signed for. So if Hudgell is basing his latest outburst on hearsay and rumour he has made himself look a bigger idiot than I ever thought possible and brought embarrassment on the club and its fans.
The more I read the article the more the words of Hudgell having no axe to grind and not blaming him for going elsewhere for a better deal is simply trying to cover up the fact he really is a bitter & petty man and can not divorce himself from Chairman & Fan at times.

If Hull hadn't signed him (and had no chance of signing him) I would have expected them to deny the story.

I would also expect Paea's agent to deny if it was untrue and he was still looking to get his man a berth in the NRL or SL.
