Because he possesses neither the pace, attacking flair, defensive astuteness etc that Graeme Horne has in abundance.

Maybe Horne needs to learn to offload at the right times.Massive overlap and he decides to run himself

It does beggar belief though. Why the hell would anyone drop one of the more consistent and better performing players for someone returning from inury?
Don't get me wrong i am one of the few who like G Horne and i think he does a decent job most of the time, however with Whiting we have more in attack where we desperately need it, and if a few more players could tune into his wavelength we would score a lot more.

i thought the play by horne for the raynor try was fantastic centre play, and dont think whiting would have created the space necessary to score it. FWIW though, he should be in the 17

i never saw it as i wasn;t at the game (hence why my critiscism is low) but they mentioned that G horne made that try with "pace and something else i forget"
But it is big kick in the teeth for Whiting and if he decides to look for another team as it seems he does not fit in with Agars plans he will be a big loss to us.

TBF to Graeme Horne, thought he did OK tonight.

Wasn't there tonight and I have not had word from my nearest and dearest who where there. But if Whiting is the one who was dropped after last weeks p155 poor display then I have officially given up on Agar.

He was one of only about 4 players with any passion for the team / club last week.

Yep, solid in defence and dangerous in attack. Dropping Whiting wasn't justified (for playing reasons, anyway), but Horne provided more with the ball and was, at worst, equal in defence.

Better by some distance. However there were a couple of times when even a pleb like me could see that the game was desperate for tactical change that never came though.

The biggest point of interest was that Agar withdrew Throman again. I don't see how he can carry on picking him.

Well Lee is the best hooker at the club currently so i guess we did have one in the starting 13, would agree with not understanding why we had 2 on the bench though.
