Correct Holdsworth is a cracking signing, Without finding my post again I think I said I'm very happy with our star signing of Ellis, and I'm also happy with the other signings but non of them (except Ellis) are stars. Chase would of been a star signing and I'd of been very happy with him.

All I'm going off is the expectation that AP made us feel in the media in recent months has not come to fruition.

Would like to see the fans come back, but would rather have a winning team then fans at the moment. Other fans will come back once they see us doing something

Bit worried about our recruitment for another halfback, doesn't look much out there.

Looks increasingly like Holdsworth/Seymour. A clear improvement on this year but we need much more from Seymour to make the top four.

To be honest I'd rather we went with Holdsworth/Seymour than splash out on (yet another) stop-gap halfback we didn't really want. There is always the possibility that we could sign someone mid-season, and for all we know Rangi Chase may continue his fight for a visa on his own (otherwise his options at the end of his Cas contract are limited to going home)

I think the club are probably leaking the news out through the press before making an official announcement that we've signed him. Kind of ultimate timely boost

I take it your being sarcastic cos I really don't believe that. I think AP has been saying things he (unfortunatly) can't back up. Maybe he thought things were happening but since fallen thro?! Or maybe he was just trying to get us all excited and buying passes for 2013?!

It is pretty funny though how people 'in the know' were saying things like '100000000000% hull player next year'. Not doubting that things can change over a couple of days (see Ben Galea) but it must have been expected that there could be some kind of backlash from ultimately disappointed fans if it had fallen through have such bold statements.
