Pet lip? Take a look at this from the Wire forum:
Quote ="Paul Youane"When you have travelled extensively around the world this is the sort of thing that you see all the time in areas of the "developing world" such as Hull. There are two sets of prices; one for the locals and another that is charged to tourists.
We should look upon this as doing our bit to help an under-priveledged area of the world to develop. Its a kin to saving used stamps for the Blue Peter Appeal. Perhaps Hull should erect a "totalometer" above the away turnstyles showing exactly how much they have raised through the blatant ripping-off of away fans via their pricing structure.'"
Mebbe he should stay in that vibrant, cosmopolitan metropolis that is Warrington?
The least he could do is spend more time developing his 'humour'

On the food issue regardless of who is in control people still equate it to Hull FC, people will still think "sod going to watch Hull FC they rip you off"
Now if 50 people are put off by those prices even if they are £19 that's £950 and times that by 11 (exclude Cats and Broncos) £10,450 plus a programme a burger or pint and your doing yourself an injustice.
You're right why should away fans benefit, our money is obviously too good for you.'"
I know it's different because you own your stadium, but is the catering franchised out at the Halliwell? I know similar crappy fodder is peddled at Wigan so am assuming they also use this lot www.eventmanagementcatering.com/.
Could be wrong, though.

But you're happy to pay £20 to stand in the open at Leeds?
I accept that all standing at Leeds is £20 for all supporters but only the away supporters are compelled to stand in the open, at the mercy of the elements

For this reason I hate Headingley and Leeds second only to Them. And the fact that despite there being loads of loos, they only usually open the few near the bar. Wholly inadequate and disgustingly unhygenic by halftime.

Shouldn't be able to charge the away fans £6 more per ticket for what is the same view etc as the South stand. Even the blatant rip off machine that is premiership football has a rule in place to prevent this.

| All reason and excuses and rewarding fans and comparing it to other grounds aside
Away fans think they are being ripped off/taken advantage of, no press release or explanation is going to suffice for most away fans and they'll stay away.

you have just under 3 weeks now to purchase a ticket at that price, so no difference if you don't

| Why? you don't have an option at Hull and as we know some seats are worth £19.
The most succesful/biggest supported team in RL play in an all seater yet charge £20

there is nothing to stop you buying south stand seats, the kc isn't segregated for rugby, you can purchase tickets for any stand you like
if i wanted to sit at haliwell jones it would cost me £26!

So in summary, the nearest covered seating to the away end is £28 on the gate. Fecking hell, what a rip-off. No dedicated parking either. Thieving scousers.

That was the old board milking RL fans, we expected it.
AP has said he wants a full ground, youd think with some of the pathetic away followings last year they would make an effort. I'd not complain if it was £10 advance sales, £19 on the day, would encourage a few more over to us

| To be honest it doesn't matter what the club charge the away fans will always moan about something as an excuse for not coming, even if we gave away free tickets. As for the insults regarding Hull and its people being part/comparing it to the developing world is hardly going to adhere us to the issue.
If were are honest I would say that both Hull clubs travel in large numbers to all the clubs but yet neither club see anything like the same number of travelling fans, particularly from clubs across the Pennines regardless of ticket prices.
The South stand has been discounted to encourage home fans attending/returning hence the £19. Why should away fans get this discount??
If I want to go to a game away from home I'll go and pay the price, simple.

| I'll be honest i don't think it makes a difference wether a ticket £19 or £23 some people just dont come to away games and reducing it wont make make any difference.
The simple fact is most away fans dont want to travel for more than 1 hour.
because of the smc agreement ap cant heavily discount tickets beacuse it would cost the club so until then I'm more than happy to see any discount given to home fans rather than away.
