Well I certainly would not call him superb in defence (Not even in Fitz league who I consider superb in defence) he looks a lot fitter and more mobile this season (what I saw in Testimonial), however I think he offers more like Lauaki in offence.. For me Cussack, Radders and Dowes do more graft which is what was needed against Hudds.

I would bring in Moa for Radford who took a knock, but either way he deserves some gametime. Would like to see Washy replace Houghton on the bench too.

Agree, I also think Turner deserves some gametime.

This could be the game were rich makes a few changes,maybe time to use some of our other great players

We are in a fortunate position this week of having a 9 day turnaround so if the knocks mentionned are just that then I expect the same team again next Sunday unless Calderwood is fit then he should come back into the team as a specialist winger.

Cant beleive the comments re Moa been a wasted signing! Its a long season starting in the middle of winter through the heat of summer (hopefully) and back into wetter conditons late in the year. Moa will have a big role to play without a shadow of doubt before the season is out, as will Craig Hall in the centre position.

Horses for courses and squad rotation is essential for a successful season.

Given the 9 day turnaround we have this week and the fact it's Quins (no disrespect) the following friday i wouldn't change unless injuries dictated, but as soon as Calderwood is fit i would have him back in, tough on Craig Hall but Whiting and Yeaman are doing ok in his position so he too will have to wait his turn. But he's not fit so it's a mute point!

Now we have the strength in depth we should make the most of it. Squad rotation is needed to give players that bit of extra time to recover from niggling knocks. Leeds have been masters of this for the past few seasons.

Injuries have been compounded by players having to play on because of the lack of depth we've had over the last two seasons. Although there's strong competition for places, the players should understand if they're not named in the squad.

Agree with this completely. I would though just take a look at who may have niggles or slight knocks, and rest them for the right reasons. But, if everyone is fit, play em.

Good post Dibs, One of the problems over the last few years has been the lack of squad depth/quality; too many hookers come loose forwards etc. Coupled with a poor professional attitude. Imo the players should be rotated as and when is required. i.e for ground conditions, injuries and most importantly to keep the players fit and fresh, all season long.

I reckon that Crusaders away will be a tough assignment; so changes should be kept to a minimum, however I do see a need for some players to be givena run and we need to utilise the sqad over the long season. I would be tempted to give Washy a game at 6 and perhaps to give Burnett a game at Manu's expense.

If it was leeds or Warrington we were playing I wouldn't change anyone; but I think this is an opportunity to give some players a game.

Let Turner have some gametime (along with a couple of others), they deserve the chance to show how they fit in to the new set up so when Agar needs to rely on them he knows they will/can do the job maybe against better opposotion down the line.

Crusaders will still be tough opposition but not of the same ilk as Saints or Huddersfield. We'll need some tryscorers next week, Turner fits the bill and is chomping at the bit, Whiting is more of a trystopper (i rate Whiting too).

What the hell for, Horne and Long need as much time together to understand each others game as possible so I cant see how dropping one of them after 2 games is going to help that process, ridiculous suggestion in my eyes
