rovers now have another 3 years in SL and are unlikely to be at risk of dropping out then. It's sensible for them to cut their cloth according to their income from now on.

But but Jake they have a super dooper stadium extension being built (sometime) which will give them thousands more fans so no need to cut costs as everything is fab and groovy in that part of town

Three reasons it won't happen.

1) As a responsible landlord the City council would have to undertake due diligence when checking the finances of any new tenant, if KR cannot afford to redevelop their own ground it is unlikely they would pass such as test.

2) If City have any aspiration to return to the Premisership then sharing a stadium with two Rugby League teams would be a definite barrier in the eyes of the FA.

3) Logically and practically you could not have three teams operating from a single stadium, it would mean back to back use of the pitches becoming the norm.

Also, a a current tenant FC would have to agree to another team moving in, and I doubt we would do that.

Of the things that concern me about FC in the next 10 years, sharing the KC with the Dobbins is about as far up the list as being able to afford going to Australia for the WCC should it ever be played over there and should we ever make an appearance.

To be honest Fox was never as good as Briscoe and I am not just saying that as an FC fan. However he is not as bad as being released by HKR by a long shot I dont think. IF we are not going to persevere with Sharp would a punt at a young "proven" English winger be such a bad shot? I dont think we can presume we are going to play Whiting or maybe not even Sharp all next year on the wing?

AP has stated he wants to see us challengin for honours, signing Fox isn't really compatible with that aim.

Like I said not sure what has gone on this year but scored 13 tries last year and worked his way into the England squad. Young and English dont see the problem.

Sharp hasn't been given a fair crack, nor has Lynne, Fox worked his way in, and out, of the England squad.

I don't want to sign rovers rejects, it's as simple as that.

Agrea on Sharp just playing devils advocate if his face dosent finally fit. Lynne I just dont see "making it" to be honest at the highest level but lets hope so. Rovers reject yes, hear what you are saying but I dont think many KR fans or FC fans think he is actually bad enough to be released by KR - go to me more to it. Even as backup as I say I would take a young English player.

TBH Fox is probably slightly better than we have in Sharp & Lyne (at present) but is he really what we should be looking at? If we are to improve as a team on the field we need to bring in a winger that is much better than we have currently not just slightly plus are we really that desperate at the moment? For me Lyne is a good prospect but not ready yet and needs time on loan and regular games at NL level. Both Sharp and Lyne have been given bit part roles through the season, Sharp started off well but then lost confidence and the coaching staff never seemed to handle that seemingly prefering to drop him.
With a new coach Sharp could well prove a decent winger for us.

So who would you suggest is English AND available?

fox is rubbish. He's 26 and had one half decent season. He's pretty quick but he can't tackle, can't catch, is thick as pig excrement and his positional sense makes will sharp look like a master tactician.

rovers were playing back row forwards on the wing in preference to fox for a reason

We have far more important area to improve the team on than a new winger
