If you asked me at the beginning of the season, i would have said 6th. Anything above that would be a bonus on last season. If you asked me now i think we'll finish in 5th place which on past season is a excellent progress. Just hope that they can build on that for next season

Saints have a relatively easy run-in so I can see them hanging onto 3rd TBH.

I think that 5th is looking very likely now. Our key injuries and a Leeds team back to it's best is going to make holding on to the 4th spot very difficult.

A Wire v Leeds CC final will certainly do us a big favour but 5th spot is looking inevitable and TBH not a bad result given recent seasons. However, it really does make you wonder where we could have finished without those three or four shockers. Crusaders, Salford, Quins and more recently the Hudds capitulation. Even just half of those points would have given us a good shot at a top two finish.

Looking at the remaining fixtures I think we'll probably finish on 28 points which is a massive 4 wins more than last year. Real progress with agar's team

No chance Jake, Leeds & Hudds play each other next week, so i think it will become a lot clearer

The gutting thing about all this IMO is that Saints are in trouble with Pryce and Eastmond out and Leeds aren't in great form either, so given that we've ground results out this season to get to 4th, we should have been pushing for 3rd as we're really only missing Long and O'Meley as absolutely pivotal players (no disrespect to Moa and Calderwood but they are players we should be able to cover, particularly Moa where we've got adequate depth in forward cover). I don't know where we'll finish. Fortunately for us, Bradford are in freefall and Wakefield don't look anything special, so we should make the 8, but we'll need to raise our game x100 to have a chance of winning a game in them.

The derby could well tell us who will finish 5th and 6th.

I don't like the look of those fixtures the way we're playing at the moment. Rovers will out-enthuse us in the derby if our last performance and theirs are anything to go by (let's hope they're not).

Can't see us beating Wigan, Warrington or Leeds. We never play well in London, but I'd expect us to scrape a win. Crusaders should be a banker at home, but they're just beat Leeds at Headingley (I think).

Best case scenario (in my opinion) is 3 from 6. It's not beyond the bounds of possibility (though it is quite unlikely) that we'll lose all six.

If Leeds are on a comedown after a Challenge Cup win the week before and if they're already guaranteed a 3rd or 4th place then their minds may be elsewhere.

We have the toughest run in of the teams around us, though.

I can see rovers and leeds picking up 8 to 10 points each, us 2 to 4 and hudds 8 to 10

If Wire and Leeds reach the final you'll win your last 4 games

Irrespective of where we finish I can't see us winning a play off game away from home or against Leeds, Wigan, Warrington, Saints.

The derby game is absolutely crucial now imo. If we win we'll be 5 points clear of Rovers, all but ending their chances of finishing 4th. However if they win, they will close the gap to just 1 point and with the remaining fixtures they've got, I'd fancy them to clinch 4th.

Looking at that and you really cannot see further than 2 or 3 wins at the most.

Rovers is a toss of the coin most of the time regardless.

Wigan will most likely trounce us again.

Quins I can see beating us due to our history with them over the last few years

Crusaders, it depends which Crusaders turns up and Nobby has a habit of getting his teams playing their best rugby towards the end of the season.

Warrington, I think the CC is good for us but i dont think it will be Wires priority this year, a lot will depend on how Saints pressure them for the 2nd spot as well. Still cannot see anything but a defeat in that one.

Leeds, Again cup could help but a lot will depend on league position, if they need a win to guarantee a top 4 they will be all out to win and with our 2 inept performances against them already i really dont expect much different.

We should be looking to win the 3 home games as a minimum and also targeting the Quins game. If things play our way we could also end up being lucky and grabbing unlikely wins at Leeds & Wire, but when have things played our way

rovers- yeh is a toss of the coin could go either way on thursday but we need to win really if we want top 4.
wigan- at home you"d think a wigan win but we do play well against the top teams and been at home aswell could see us winning that 1.
quins- must win no doubt about it, yeh we generally dont do that well there but we have to win and think we will.
crusaders- again a must win wont be easy ask leeds there a totally diffrent side and we need to be on our game but been at home i think we"ll win.
warrington-depends on challenge cup ect but we aint done well away from home and woundt expect us to win but who knows.
leeds-again depending on the challenge cup could help us and been at home im confident against anyone so could go either way but dont expect a win.

all in all i expect wins against dullkr,quins and crusaders and at leaste 1 win from leeds,wigan and warrington
so 8 points would put us on 34 points will it be enough for top 4?.
