It's openside flanker and blindside flanker in union mate. He will have no chance playing in the back row, if Faz couldn't make it there he has no chance. I spent 5 years playing Union after switching codes at 20. I'm a prop/second row in league and played inside centre and on the wing in my first 3 seasons, before switching to blindside flanker once I learned the game and the technicial side of the game.

Can't balme any player switching codes if they're good enough. The earning potential / image rights in union far outweighs league, shame as I personally think league is a better product but this will always be the way from now on. Still think more will fail then will succeed purely as the pack and half backs in union have to have such different attributes to those in league the only position that are really interchangeable are wings and FB.

That is only true from League to Union but any player who has played Union at the top level could make a success of himself in League as it easier then Union!

International RL will never rival international union regardless of the mind set of fans.

You might have a point about the backs but regarding forwards that's simply not true. Most of the big lumps you see upfront in the six nations wouldn't stand a chance in RL because they are far too immobile, plus they wouldn't get the chance for a breather every 2 or 3 minutes like they do in union.

Sheldon I never said it was a good thing for our sport however, whatever attitude I have towards it isn't going to prevent our players chasing the money and I can't blame them it's a short career and they should do what's best for themselves. It's not ideal but unfortunately it's always going to happen, whilst RU have more money to spend.
