I think that Hutchie is on the wind up. It is highly unlikely that Hull will sign a 21 year old fringe secondrower from another Super League club when you have Liam Kent, Chris Green, Liam Cunningham and Laurence Pearce the same age in your ranks and ready for first team action.

I didn't believe the Lyon rumour anyway but this is what he say's about not playing for Australia in the 4 nations:
''It's mainly because of the body - I'm just trying to preserve it for a couple more years with Manly. Family reasons have got something to do with it as well. It's a bit of both really.''

I'd say there's a good chance we'll bring in someone who'll fit that description pretty closely. We need a bench second rower, someone with some SL experience but we probably don't have a lot of cap space to play with. It would be a big ask/risk to expect the youngsters you mention to play the full season between them when they have only one SL appearance in total. The three I mentioned all have over 30 games, but won't command a big wage. I wouldn't mind Tuson, personally.

RBA's in troll mode on here these days. He's quite good at it. He's heard that it is Pitts and is just creating some faux indignation about it. I would be underwhelmed by Pitts as a signing. And since the Lyon rumour, funny and incredible as it was, now seems dead, surely there must be a decent centre rumour kicking around?

Funnily enough, with purely coincidental timing, a mate has just texted me that Justin Hodges has heard of our new physiotherapist appointment and thinks she may be the answer to his long-time hamstring problems, so he's been badgering Gentle to sign him up ever since.

Because it would be his prime years and longer term, I'd agree.

But at FC in recent years we've brought in Broughton, Fellous, McShane, Williams in just this way. I'm just saying that apart from Houghton we've not brought any players through to regular 1st team selection in the last 4 years, so it wouldn't be that surprising.

Our youth development is the first question I'd like to ask about at the next fans forum. It's been really poor both in terms of quality of output and first team chances given. Would like to know what they're actually doing about it. Not just talking about a "programme" with a stupid name, and what their commitments are in terms of bringing young players through. In 4 years we've gone backwards at an alarming rate.

I had originally heard Chester but if what I hear tonight is right then i think it would be a good move and fans will be happy. Complete shock though. Cant say anymore.
