The club seem to be doing all they can to bring in the right players yet for some this is not good enough. Remember where we were season before last... season on season improvement is now the task which in turn will attract players of an increasingly higher calibre.

I have no doubt Seymour is well aware of his chairmans comments about him (A point you pretty much agree with looking at your previous statement in this thread).

Don't see us signing anyone who will significantly improve us now so would rather we went with what we've got. The side should be good enough to consolidate a position in the top 5 or 6, but even with prince or chase I don't see us as being good enough to win trophies. I think wire could be head and shoulders above anyone else next year

Holdsworth obviously first pick, then Seymour, Galea, Heremaia, Horne. Could be worse, in 2009 it was Thorman/Horne then Lee, Washbrook.

On Goldie it would be a no for me, did well and certainly better than I expected in the few games he had for Hull, but isn't good enough at halfback for a team wanting to be in the top 4, his best games came against the lower teams, but looked poor when against the better teams like Wigan and Les Catalans.

I think Seymour showed at the at the start of the season he could play a bit and looked impressive against Leeds at home, he has to be the best option for next season as it stands, and maybe he will look better with a better halfback partner. As backup like you say we have quite a bit of cover, if things don't work out and there is always a chance a player becomes available mid season, so I would save our salary cap in-case this happens.

Got to give the guy credit it appears he is leaving no stone un-turned, as supporters we cannot ask for more than that and I am sure in the next couple of years we will bear the fruits of his hard work.
