| Quote ="Armavinit"Seems to me that you’re outside looking in. There’s a ruthless rebuild going on now and hopefully when the dead woods been chopped away, we’ll see the green shoots of regrowth. I’m sure there’s an excellent coach in Hodgson somewhere but the toxic culture amongst some of our so called players just divides everyone.'"
deluded as always when it comes to criticism of the club. Its a good post and justified
Where is the ruthless rebuild?
We have added Hoy and Trueman
The catalyst to this is our coach. Two years into his contract and we are going backwards and we now have an Owner who has buried his head in the sand and looks like he has given up.
said it before but to think you can rebuild a club by relying on several promising younger players all making the grade and catapulting us into a top team is fantasy.
Yes players have to take responsibility but its quite obvious he doesnt have the disciplinarian in him to control them whether thats in the dressing room or on the field.
There are players who need moving on particularly Taylor and Griffin but replacing this coach should be the priority.
We have heard how the club moved forward with Brian Smith who molded a team of average players into a formidable and hard to beat unit and who was respected by his players and staff and thats what we now need even if we take a chance on a lower league UK coach because if we go another season with Hodgson we will still be going backwards.

| Say what you like Hodgson going absolutely nowhere. He's sorting out the rotten wood although I have to be honest a bit slow for me. But he will get there. So you might as well put your dummy back

He wouldn't come, why would he, you are right though, we need some to sort out our structures and desire.
I honestly think we could lose the next 3 games and Hodgson will still be here next season.

Because its a huge club with great potential and the role would provide an exciting challenge for any hungry coach. Wane's been sat in the background for far too long - he needs to be back involved in week to week coaching.

| James Clark looked like he had just been told to go and let Brett know he was no longer required when we saw the shots of Adam at the end there.
I think Brett would be fine coaching a load of world class players, but at Hull we need a coach who can deal with players who have faults and deficiencies in their game. Our players are pretty weak in the brain department and need a simple clear plan set out by a coach.
If you think we're ever going to replace our squad with 13 world class players who can play without a clear plan you're delusional.
Bye bye Brett.

Conditioning team needs refreshing
Ourtill needs to go
I actually believe in what Hodgson is trying to do, he needs to get rid of the 'cancer' before this club can be great. If he doesn't get chance to finish it, then I thank him for highlighting the issues and starting the rebuild

It's a big gamble though, the fans have already got a downer on him, so even if we make a miraculous recovery next season and start to look at the races it will only take a blip and bad run for the fans to get in his back.
I think it is too much faith to be put in an untested coach we need someone who has been there done that. Even with the deadwood we have I'd also expect to see signs of a style of play being stamped on them but with Hodgson I'm seeing nothing.

Think they all need to go and have a big reset, whether that’s possible I’m not so sure but the likes of Taylor, Houghton, Griffin & Gale have got to go along with Purtill If Hodgson is to stay them that has to be a minimum requirement. Personally think Hodgson should be moved to a DoR role and s new head and assistant coach brought in.
It may come at a cost but I think the cost of not doing so will hit the club and AP far harder.

You can give a girl an enema, but it ain't gonna turn her into Rachel Riley. Pearson would be making an error to stick by Hodgson.

| It’s fine hiding behind a clear out, but his side doesn’t play with any type of identity.
No discernible improvement in performance. Some like Lane are even worse since he took over.
We’re in serious trouble next year at this rate.

I sent an email to AP 4 weeks ago stating exactly this, especially the DOR bit. Never got a reply.

| We are going to lose to Salford next week - that’s almost a 99.99999% fact
Brett really is out of his depth
He looks battered and has aged 10 years
He needs a pat on the shoulder and putting out his misery - poor fella

| Hodgson goes its another pay off for Pearson to find....then who replaces him? It's OK saying people like Wane, Holbrook....but would they come? Would also come at a higher cost.
Bigger issue for me is CEO! Since Motu left its been a long slide downwards

It’s difficult isn’t it, AP must be thinking wtf have I got to do, stick or twist, almost unbelievably start again, or back the policy of Hodgson. I just haven’t believed in him since his arrival, no improvement, well as MW says a slight improvement on D at the very beginning of Brett’s tenure, it didn’t last long, there’s been some reason behind this slump, big names missing through injury, bad injuries as well the likes of Sav, Carlos, Tag, Griffin, some coming back seemingly finished, form lost, pace disappearing. Swift Cator Mau all gone for long periods,
Gale inexcusably banned for foul play too often, and his very poor performance in all but a few matches, the demise of our once great front row forward Taylor, a shadow of his former self, and the superb Danny Houghton as time finally catches up with our midfield dynamo. All these factors are not the blame of Hodgson.
But the absolute ludicrous signing of Reynolds, and the amount of time it took before anyone AP Clarke or Hodgson realised he was finished, was also inexcusable, there’s no hiding place for the great Gaz Ellis either, our defensive coach has produced an almost alter ego on his protégés, we can’t tackle for toffee. Good that Gaz.
What the hell do our conditioning team do for forward planning and preparation, I’ve never known our club have so many lower leg injuries, there must be something wrong with the grass we’re running on.
James Clarke he just appears to be a yes man, overseeing this debacle without the confidence to shout out that it’s going down the pan AP, and a few Nigerians, whether they can run faster than lions ain’t going to fix it.
Recruitment has been crap since Motu went, Reynolds, Gale, Jones, Johnstone, I’d throw in Swift, Tosh, and the perpetually injured Mau as well.
Players with a bright future seemed to have regressed, Wynne, Lane, Big Chris and Ligi have gone backwards under Hodgson control. Indeed Lovudoa our hooker replacement we all know we needed, never plays there, apparently he doesn’t want to, wtf and when he does, bang ten minutes gone for the season, it’s a long continuous bad luck story.
Hodgson has to go, I’d put Shenny in charge till the end of the season, and see if we can tap Wane up after a disastrous World Cup, And hope AP can relight the fire of our complete organisation by cutting loose as many failed personal whoever they may be.
I will always support my team regardless of how very poor we are, it’s our club.

| The whole playing roster are devoid of any confidence ,Hodgson doesnt have the necessary attributes in his locker to change this around .
Ellis summarised the atmosphere ,stating there is no belief , hardly surprising looking at Hodgsons demeanour ,he looks terrified .
New signings wont change anything , the atmosphere can only be changed with an experienced Manager, not a coach.
also, we need a new strength and conditioning team.
AP needs to spend less money on the pitch,& use those resources in better quality fitness staff.
