It's all about speed apparently. Whether you're in possession or not if you play faster than the other team the laws need not be applied evenly. You will win the game anyway because you're better but you get preferential treatment by not having to adhere to the laws.

Why would you ignore that and pretend I'm using the early refereeing decisions as an excuse for us losing ? Are you trying to make out that I think the ref has decided the game ? You haven't got a point. You claim childs is favouring wigan. I countered that with the fact that no matter who is referring games, the side who win the collision and controls the ruck will get the bulk of the penalties and favourable decisions. It's the way the game works, probably psychological for the ref that one side seems to be hanging on to the other's coat tails. Is it right? probably not, but we need to up our game and take advantage of it rather than whining about it on internet forums

That's exactly what he's doing, he's a bell end, try's making people look stupid, we have been well and truly been beating by a better team, but Wigan without a shadow of a doubt, play by different rules to everyone else! The point was why we were penalised (at 0-0) for not standing square when they did the same thing in the previous set. I have to say that your inability to address that exact point surprises me I thought you had more debating skills than just saying 'Wigan are better' TBH.

I could go through the game and see stacks of occassions when the ref hasn't penalised us when he can and likewise wigan. I thought you'd have seen enough games over the years to understand that referees don't penalise every offence in a game. As I've already said, if they did we'd end up with a huge number of penalities. I must admit I thought you had more about you than to just blame the ref by hey ho, even I'm wrong once in a while

As for the whole "bent officiating" post, I think some people need to grow up. Do people honestly hand on heart think referee's are bent (just to stop the PC brigade, bent meaning corrupt not homosexual)? If so, I implore you to go watch a different sport as your paranoia will ruin it for the rest if us.

Picking a few isolated incidents does not "prove" anything. There could be a myriad of reasons why he gave on decision and not another, the simplest being he didn't see it and the most complicated being them perhaps not being as identical as you think. Sometimes people get away with things. Sometimes people are deceiving. Sometimes players run the ref up the wrong way and put themselves under the spotlight. Playing the ref is a huge part of the game, and we have not been able to do that for a number of seasons.

Lets face it ,it was like the Alamo for Hull.Wigan are a class side who can stuff anyone on their day.At least they didn`t give up,and the fact that some were not really fit to play ,but did says a lot I.M.O.
