Well he can't play if they've removed one of his legs.

I knew there was a perfectly good reason for him not playing after all.

I heard shaul didn't play because his training all week wasn't upto standard . What ever that means .

That was in the pub apparently, not the training ground. Maybe Miller will get picked once he's fought the rest of the squad.

Seems Miller was good enough to play rep rugby for his age, but not good enough for a below average super league team.
As for not being able to tackle, I take it we'd not want to sign Dobson if he ever became available again?!.

I watched back a few games which Miller played in recently off and I didn't see any massive defensive deficiencies. While his long kicking game isn't great, he can attack the line and brings a running and passing threat and backs up.

I didn't think there was any lack of effort Sunday, just lack of direction, mystifying team selection and Agar like bench management but one thing Radford did say is that changes will be made. This is one obvious change that HAS to be made.

Can't remember which one, but one of the Humberside lot said that while there was no lack of physical effort, there was a distinct lack of mental effort. I tend to agree with him.

give miller n rankin a decent run of games at 6 & 7 where they were brought in to play, then heremaia goes back to where hes most effective at 9 and houghton will improve as hes not as effective playing 80 mins and his dummy half distribution is far to slow.
fans would need to be patient whilst they got used to each others styles ,unfortunately some hull fans have none and cant wait to jump down a players throat the minute something goes wrong. Horne cant do it at 6 now and is coming to the end of his career so we need to look forward, and not stick to what has failed in the past

As I understand it...

If a player is one of the top 25 he counts on the cap while at the club regardless of whether he plays a game or not.

However...

If a player is released without having played a cap-relevant game his wages are removed from the cap and any payoff also does not count. So you would immediately free up his entire cap value for a new signing.

I would like to see Miller given a go but I firstly want to seen Azza back rotating at 9. Then we can try and get a settled half back pairing with players more suited to that role, whether its Horne/Rankin or Horne/Miller or Miller/Rankin, I'd go with Horne at FB if we aren't gonna play Shaul
