I've not seen a whole lot of creativity from him. From the admittedly little I've seen he seems to be more a support player than anything else. Would much rather have a player like Rangi Chase.

Seems to me that Agar realised he needed a full back after Tansey's latest antics. If it had been before that then Mathers was available as Sheldon mentioned. It does tend to fan the flames of the Tansey shown the door rumour or beg the question why we didn't go for Mathers??? Cue Expro " we did but he gets car sick on the bit of the M62 between Ponte and Hull " or "why would he give up the beaches of Widnes?"

Maybe Agar has just realised that Tansey isnt that good a full back even without his antics?

From an attacking perspective he is probably our best player. He can make breaks, kick, links with the line well to either score or send someone in.

He drops the odd ball, big deal.

If we don't think Tansey is good enough then we should pack in, he is our one player that threatens the opposition.

Depends if you think you're best attacking player should be at full back. He is also top 5 for errors in SL. Is that acceptable as a FB?

Tompkins, Webb, Greenshields - all great attacking weapons at fullback. Yes he makes errors but he also creates and scores tries.

I can forgive him a few drop balls now and again.

None of these three make as many stupid errors as Tansey and all three are far superior in attack.

Thats exactly the point i was making to Paul. It's not just a handful of stupid errors by Tansey either to be top 5 for erros in SL.

Greenshields in particular is probably the best all round FB in SL.

He's got the talent. Will he be a professional full back? Can our coach manage him? I'm not so sure. As for him being safe under a high ball? He's made some horrible attempts and got us into trouble. Agars right for once - rocks and diamonds - but it's no good if it stays that way AND he keeps up his bad behaviour.

Not only that, he more than capably covered at full back, while the incumbent was serving a two game suspension.

Say what you like about him but if you want to lose a player like tansey from a side that lacks creativity and struggles to score tries then so be it.

Maybe he makes so many mistakes as he is constantly in the line trying to make things happens, then again if you just look at stats in their own they don;t tell you much.

We must improve our attack and tansey is one of our best, I don;t understand anyone who would want shut.

Replace him with BJB who is purely a support player. Backwards step.

He performed once every blue moon and let his chin scrape the floor whenever he made a mistake. Bags of talent fut 4 years on still not moved forward.

Although that will be all Sharp/Agar's fault.

Not you Dave, the general opinion. He is easily and I mean EASILY our best attacking player and people don't rate him???

How anybody can compare Tansey to Webb and Greenshields is beyond me. Those 2 are seasoned pros. Tansey is 23, just had his first FULL SL season and is playing a position he has only played for 18 months or so. Any flaws he may have are technical and can easily be cut out.

He's easily the best attacking player we've had for a while!
