For me I think Jordan has way way more potential AND importantly I think he's shown that when thrown in at the deep end he can cut the mustard even with a side that has struggled. I don't think that Pryce offers anything over & above him and in fact I'd say aside from experience he is the better player of the two and the way forward for the club. I don't want JA being put into the back row/loose, we have plenty of solid players for that and more so to keep him out of the side when development of him is essential on the field at the top end of the game and not being being shipped off to Doncaster, that would be detrimental to him and to the club as a whole IMO.

Pryce, he's a wasted signing, JA is the future at 6, as for put SM at No.1, it was mainly to provoke thought and given he's more than capable of the role I would have no qualms with him there. He can outjump most, he's safe as houses under the bumb and have you seen him tackle?? That said I'd be more than happy with Rankin as a backup fullback tbh. Shaul whilst pacy seems to be average in defence, certainly at the line where he gives up far too easily and gets run over just as easily, his pace might be better seved on the wing with Sa on his inside. I don't want to lose the binman as he's proven his worth and alongside Lineham I think it could be a very potent combination and certainly no weakness defensively.

I was pointing out that you have a somewhat random idea of team selection which you confirm by your frankly preposterous idea that Jordan Abdull is a better player than Leon Pryce.

You also say Talanoa has "proven his worth" despite calling him "turd" the other day. Bizarre.

I sympathise as I always find it difficult to have reasonable conversations with bigots.

Pryce still has a lot to offer not only on the field but off it.If Radford started with Abdull he would be slated.In such a important season we need experience in the halves and Pryce will bring some calmness in attack and not panic when near the line which was norm last season. Abdull will get his chance and will become a star that I have no doubt.

Radford talking about our right side of Pryce, Minichiello and Sa in today's HDM and that this combination is coming together and will tighten things up defensively also. I'd forgotten Pryce and Sa played together at Catalans. On paper it looks a trade-up vs last year if we can keep them all fit, and as discussed before if Lineham can recover his 2013 form, it looks a handy right side.

Also enlighten us on Talanoa at Centre ? Player of the year last year on the wing and you want him at centre, I saw him play one game at centre there last year and he was poor.

Indeed. We absolutely must play players in their proper specialist positions, not move people around in order to accommodate others.

My heads baffled. Yr in yr out we bang on about not having an on field director of play/a big gob talker. Last yr about a lack of experience.
I like rankin. I expect a good yr out of him. But he finished the season well last yr n always looked good on his feet n scored a few. But for many a game he was no better than Miller at getting us around. We've addressed these problems by bringing in one of the most decorated super league players ever in Pryce n who's stats proved him to be one of the most effective halves in the comp last yr. But people are saying to go with 2 inexperienced young halves?
We've best as I can see got the most cover n depth in our squad that we've had for yrs in each position so why anyone would be suggesting playing players in unfamiliar potions is also beyond me. Only yesterday Radford's spoke about how players have become more naturalised in the systems of play n their roles within it!

We brought the most decorated half back to play super league to us, and that didn't turn out so well, I think Pryce will go well to be fair, but id like to see Rankin get a few chances, which I think he will, so on paper, all looks pretty good so far, I'll let you know after the Huddersfield game

Look at the size of Burgess compared to Lancaster btw. Pace isn't enough to make it as a SL player.

Long barely played. &had missed a lot prior to joining. Pryce seldom misses a game. Squad game these days. Plenty room for both over the course of the yr.

That's ridiculous. Talanoa was consistently one of our best. A great metre maker. Solid defender. Never dominated on the ground (think he was top 2 for fast play of the balls won) also made tremendous meters after contact. Made a few breaks n tries for others out of nothing.
At this stage of his career Lancaster only has pace over him. 1 of the Last academy games he played last yr he scored 4 n conceded 5 down his side. He also got dropped after the 1st recent England v oz schoolboy games.
Not having a dig at him but he is what he is. A young kid with loads to learn and physically develop. The competition boasts some very good/strong/powerful centres n wingers. He's not ready for week in week out imo. Get plenty of chances over the yr I think tho

Lancaster's about the same size as Briscoe was, so not sure what difference size makes.

I partly criticized him earlier in the season because he was making lots of mistakes and positionally he was very much lacking, but I don't recall saying Talanoa was 'turd', (I have said Miller was treated like turd by the club/Radford) please point out my post & i will make a full retraction of the comment but not my earlier criticism which at the time I thought was accurate. and yes he has proven his worth, or do you disagree with that too?
October 12th I said re the signing of Lancaster "I wonder if Lancaster might get the nod over Talanoa, which for me would be a bit sad as he's a tryer that's for sure and shown his worth despite not being the quickest/most talented winger in the competition"
