To be fair Mr Roader most of our posters acknowledge that our squad is decent, (in fact we've often been berated for being a bit too cocky of late), but, also that it is stretched to the limit for this game due to a combination of injuries, loanees, a suspension and not quite knowing what's going on with dual reg'

I won't list all the absentees and understand that you seem to be missing key players. Afterall, all teams suffer 'withdrawals' for similar reasons at various points in the season. I think that it is a compliment to you that we know we are in for a tough game even without any selection headaches. Without three big players in Briers, Westwood and Morley it's time for the replacements to step up and stake a claim especially at 6 and up front.

Whilst I might agree that it is our "own fault" my response was to a post by Hessle Roader that poured scourn on our board's current thinking that our squad is paper thin. I wasn't blaming anyone just a fact

Under the old structure, when our young lads and older heads were retained, we seemed to have an embarrassment of riches and the comments on our board reflected that perhaps cockily? For whatever reason in comparison to last season, 'losing' Briers, O'Brien, Blythe, Bridge, Morley, Westwood, Harrison isn't ideal.

As I went on to say it's up to the replacements to step up, so I'm not making any excuses. If TS sticks with Ratchford and Myler at HB and drafts in Curry for example into the 17 then we should still be in the mix

I hardly think that either the club, or the Wire board are responsible for what a newspaper chooses to write. There has been absolutely no malicious comments about Hull from Wire, so what point are you trying to make here ?

If you care to ready original post properly I did not pour scorn on anything that had been said. I merely pointed out that some of your posters were saying your squad was not big enough. Taking time to read something properly will avoid you making silly statements.

a very difficult game to call, without Briers Wire often misfire, it's a game we can win, wether we do or not depends on the pack again.

Think that's our best available, Gentle likes O'Meley starting I think, initial spell then back on at 33ish minutes. Only question for me is Whiting. Personally I'd consider him at centre inside Lineham. Wire's backs are excellent and injury free and the combination of the inexperienced Lineham/Crooks could be a concern. Whiting gives great flexibility off the bench, but we always look better with him on the pitch.
