maybe you should watch charnley abit more then, challenge cup run in last year scored plenty of belters and plenty of full lengthers. of course he is going to score alot of walkins playing for wigan we have a good attacking line what makes room on the outside but i know he can score some good efforts aswell and he is class player who will only get better. one thing i can say even tho i like briscoe charnley wouldn't have fluffed that chance against the aussies in the last 4nations.

I watch Charnley as often as he is on tv or against Hull, and from the evidence I've seen he's a good winger but Briscoe is far better. I have come away from games before in disbelief at what Briscoe has just done, he busts through tackles better then any winger in the league.

Can see Briscoe missing out and Charnley getting a go, they can't leave out golden balls Hall seeing as he is soooo fab

An international winger needs to be more then just a try scorer nowadays otherwise we would just pick Ade Gardner and be done with it!

I think Tom Briscoe is the best British winger at returning the kick, a part of the game that is pretty important against the worlds best teams. Always takes at least 2 or 3 men to stop Tom from kick returns and even then there is a fair chance he will either win a penalty or complete a quick play the play hence his team starting on the front foot.

Briscoe, whilst not the finished article, has try scoring, strong defence and quality kick return in his locker. In fact Paul Gallen was very complimentary about his kick returns after the 4 nations.

Defending the high kick is one area he needs to work on but I cant think of any British wingers particularly strong in this area.

Picking his 2 wingers is one area that it is impossible for Mcnamara to make a mistake in. Charnley, Briscoe and Hall are all top quality. My only tinge of regret is that if Briscoe and Charnley had been exposed to more top flight rugby in the centres then perhaps we could have seen all 3 playing.

True. Both were exceptional centres in their younger days.

It cant be in Peter Gentles plans to try Briscoe there or he wouldnt have signed Arundel. That said, Arundel is an England Knights player, Kirk Yeaman an England international and Ben Crooks an England Academy player so in Briscoes case it is possibly better for the team if not the individual to stay on the wing.

Completely agree. One of very few positions England has a bit of genuine quality in. Think Charnley will get the nod tbh.

Mcillorum should be in without a doubt. He's been huge for Wigan this season.
