| Given the rubbish that's been served up for the last 4 years it's amazing that there were 11000 there yesterday at the most expensive ground in the league, for a game at lunchtime on a Sunday on a bank holiday weekend.
I think every attendance so far this season is down on the corresponding one last year. People were always going to vote with their feet. It will take a long time to convince people things have improved. If we only finish 7th or 8th, get knocked out of the CC by leeds and make no impression on the play offs then I doubt I'll bother renewing next season

no, not a non supporter, just one who didnt turn up on sunday, personally if i didnt have a pass i would'nt go to many games with the admission prices as high as they are. lifes essentials take up a lot more money now so going to rugby would hardly ever be an option for me.

| Have said it many times now Agar is a very expensive coach, wish the board could realise this. Already 14000 down on last years corresponding fixtures, amounts to possibly £200.000 that would buy a dream team coaching set up. I know many fans not going because of his lack of ideas on the pitch. A decent coach can read us like a book same poor tactics week in week out.

We should not try and justify not going to a match - I decided not to take a pass this season - my reason for doing it was to have the choice of not going and certainly not letting the club have my money up front. I would not stay away for a home game if it was on Sky but understand Barton Bairds reasons for doing it. As I have said many times just because you have bought a pass it does not make you a better supporter than any-one else

| Quote ="Kosh"You do realise that the comment about playing on Sundays was tongue in cheek, don't you?
Multiple causes for the drop in attendances IMO. The financial situation for many families that continues to worsen, our poor form at the start of the season and lack of confidence that we've turned the corner, and the East Stand being all reserved. In addition yesterday's game was on Sky on a Bank Holiday weekend leading into Half Term. And Hudds brought a handful.
Unless we have a sustained upturn in form I can see attendances remaining low or dropping further. Unless we either reach the CC final or do well in the playoffs I can see the situation continuing next season. When money is short people make more hard-nosed choices about where to spend their cash and sentiment goes less far than usual.'"
Exactly right people are relatively hard up and it's a quid or two too expensive to watch Hull this season in the current economic environment. We have maybe over achieved slightly in crowd numbers in the last couple of seasons. In times of austerity people will save money on leisure activities - that is what is happening at Hull. We're around our hard core level now - maybe 10,000 or so. The club is well run and can withstand the decrease medium term.

As Kosh says people make hard nose choices - Dad pays £24 quid - child £5 thats a lot of dosh out of a family budget. I agree the attendances will hold at about 10.000.

| Took my kids aged 4 1/2 and 2 1/2 yesterday and bought an FC shirt for my little girl and a Briscoe T-shirt for my two year old. Me and my wife had two beers each and we all had a hot dog. £120 later we watched a pile of .
Hudds were but we were worse though the kids didnt seem to mind as all they were interested in was Airlie bird.
Good value for money? - I dont think so and i wont be going again anytime soon!

| Given the quality of entertainment being served up in the last four years I am suprised it has taken fans as long as it has to wise up and choose matches. The gates have held very well to date and are only recently showing signs of a major drop off. I paid £22 for the South stand and ok I can afford it having a few kids, a wife, drinks and food to pay for and it would have been a none starter when I can go to Brid for a day and have change.
The financial hardship has not fully hit home yet, yes that does mean worse to come a lot worse. When it does the gates/takings of every sports/entertainment based company will be squeezed hard as people make clear choices on the dwindling money at there disposal. I am sure that FC will have the situation in hand and will I am sure take decisions based on a lower fan base takings. I think Sky will also squeeze the SL as much as it can and the deal we have currently will either be as is or at lower level . The game as a whole is facing a very uncertain future and the pressure will be on to trim the league back again to twelve teams fairly quickly.
Clubs that can not adapt to having less money will suffer badly and some will go to the wall. We will all just have to get used to seeing lower attendances and as part of that perhaps closing a stand down if it means we save money. Many of us remember being at the Boulevard with around 3k supporters and more atmosphere then there was on Sunday, its not the end of the world.

In my defence Kathy, its only the second time I have done it.I was a season pass holder until this season, the reserved only seats putting paid to that.If we were serving up decent rugby each game there is no way I would not go,but as I said earlier, taking into account petrol ,entrance fee and the bridge, plus the fact I have paid for Sky the temptation to sit on the sofa was too great.

| I would have come over if it had not been on SKY.
It saves quite a bit of money as Hull FC charge £5 more to get in, plus the fact that it costs an extra £25 in fuel to drive over, and then bus fare from the park and ride.
So my choice was make use of my SKY subs or spend £50 - £60 coming over. No brainer.
It is your home support you should be having a go at.
