Yes because people are scared of having their own opinion on an Internet forum?
Maybe, just maybe, they actually agree with him

Two stand offs. It's the future.

Think its more a case of I have seen Berro perform as a 7 whereas I am still waiting to see Washy do it! Horne is better at stand off IMO.

I've not seen Berro perform at 7. I have also seen him hauled off when playing 7 recently.

And I suppose one stand off and a hooker/centre is more to your liking?
Besides, Horne, as I'm sure you're aware, played scrum half alongside Cooke for some time.

Which one? He had a decent 15 min spell in one of the derby defeats at home.

I believe he was hailed by all as the best number 7 in the city after a particularly sweet derby victory.
[size=50I could of course be making this up. But I'm not. Or Am I?[/size

And as I'm sure [iyou're[/i aware, Cooke played the SH role in that particular combination.
Berrigan may not be a specialist SH but he has more experience in the role than Whiting, and [ihas[/i had some good performances there for us. AFAIK Whiting has never played 7 in his career and I'm not convinced that he has the organisational skills to do so any more than Horne does.

Horne played first receiver a lot with Cooke attacking in wider positions to service the outside backs. No reason it can't work like that with Whiting.
I don't think Berrigan has ever done particularly well at SH, either. Maybe the odd game, but I don't think he's a particularly good organiser any more than the other two. See last year (or was it the year before) for evidence of this.

Washy seemed to play 1st received fairly well vs Bradford.

Horne was second receiver most of the time, and most importantly was never the organiser. Every time he has been asked to take the organising role at first receiver he's struggled badly. No reason to think it would be any different with Whiting, although granted that Whiting would be a better halfback than most of Horne's stand-in partners over the years.
Berrigan is more of an organiser than Horne. By some way. Whether he's better than Whiting or not is more difficult to estimate given that we've never seen Whiting in an organising role. I think that sticking with Berrigan and seeing how he goes with Horne is a better bet for now.

| Nice to see Calders back and also good to see Horne there as well. Lets hope Calders doesn;t take long to get back into it as he is a player who has always seemed to give everything when playing for us. Also would be nice for Horne to get back to the form he showed in a couple of earlier games this season, where he was starting to take the line on again.
Cannot say i expected any different to Berro & Washy stating, because we have been winning and played well at times. Lets hope there has been a lot of focus on keeping a game plan going for the full 80 minutes instead of just one half.

I hope calderwood can stay fit to the end of the season and gets a new contract if we're looking at meli as a replacement

| Agar said last week that we had a structure in place and the involved Berro and Washy in the halves, for the first 25 mins last week we were completing sets and playing the game in the Bulls half which eventually told. If Horne is on the bench there is not another option for SH other than Berro.
Whiting/Washy would be an awful combination.
