To be honest nobody at the club seems to come out of this well, the CEO for letting the coach change club structure, Agar for spitting his dummy because Sharp had the temerity to criticise him, Sharp for washing his linen in public or the Hetheringtons for backing a clearly failed caoch.

Thats not the impression i got, when agar,sharpe and a few players had a day out on the life boat down at spurn i was working that day as i work on the pilot boats and we share the same jetty as the life boat.
When they where boarding the life boat they seemed to be laughing and joking with sharpe and being quite pally with him and it was agar who was left on his own with nobody really talking to him, now that looks to me as if they get on well with sharpe and dont like agar.

But things may have changed in the last few months.

There are plenty of kids I played football with in the street, I wouldn't describe them as friends.

I remember being at the 1980's reunion just before xmas and Agar was there with Sharp. Jon was buzzing just being back amongst his ex team mates from the 80's but Agar just looked bored and totally disinterested which made it look as though it was an effort just to be there. Towards the end of the afternoon Sharpy just wanted to get round as many fans as possible and rekindle old memeories but Agar was busting a gut just trying to get Jon back in the car and head off. I thought at the time about Agar and felt like telling the f00kin pr1ck what a disrespectful he really is. Instead i'll tell him when he gets off the team bus at Wigan because that will be the night when the team and the fans will really stick the knife in him.

I don't care if anyone in the team gets on personally. However head coaches should demand respect and also earn it by making decisions right for the team. However, it is clearly obvious there is a total lack of respect and authority all the way through the players and non playing staff.

Big changes required, and I just hope the reason Agar and Sharpe are still here is because there will be more options available for a top coaching team to come in during the off season.

Apparently it's why he went to Rule, as I said, shreds of truth in the story, just not 100% where they stop.

It was the RL equivalent of Stella Street.

That would be the same dinner that Agar and Sharp told me that I would be "surprised at our play this season". At the time, I naively took that comment to mean that I could expect to see some type of fast flowing attractive rugby, how wrong I was.

I am still waiting for the opportunity to inform them personally that I am far from surprised, and in addition, I am embarrassed and ashamed of the team I support, thanks to their inability, either individually or collectively to get anything like the best out of the current set of players at our club.

We'll have to agree to differ. He's at least a part of it, even if he's not the one the players don't like. He was rubbish at Hudds and he's rubbish here. The entire coaching staff need clearing out, in my opinion, and a totally new set up put in place.

I don't go along with all this 'Sharp is not part of the problem' bollox.

At this club for too long we have made excuses for different people which means they have been kept in post and we have never had a proper clean sweep.

Agar was here when PS and JK were around so he was part of the problem. JS is around and involved with RA so they are both part of the problem. We need to appoint a new coach and let him appoint his own backroom staff. That for me is the only way we will see a positive impact to the way we play our rugby.

That said it won't happen.

Agree 100% Paul, the Head Coach should be the ultimate head of rugby operations, everything else should go through them.

If Agar goes, Sharp has to go aswell!

Its evident that under his guidance we have took another step backwards. And here's the proof...look at Huddersfield. They release Jon Sharp and Chris Thorman and bring in a new exciting coach. What happens? They're playing really well.

Compare that to Hull who thought they were making a great decision in signing these two clowns....12th in the table.

The fact is, Agar and Sharp complient each other's lack of skills really well!
