Agree with the point about Agar too. Why aren't the programme editors sifting out questions about tactics etc. Nothing to do with James and he shouldn't be put in the position of having to avoid answering.

I would say it depends on the industry. The MD is there essentially to lead most organisations in the operation of the business. The Chief exec is there to paint a very rosy picture, whilst beating those below him

I dont expect him to go on the radio and slag us off, no one does. But we do expect him to not try to B*ll us and at least treat us fans with an ounce of respect. Theyve been gash as a team. If he cant admit that instead of saying 5 out of 7 repeatedly then he shouldnt even go on the show. We arent daft.

FWIW I agree completely with you, just saying he is never gonna do it, it would be someone elses resposibility. Agar I would have said. Rule needs to spin it to make it sound that all is not unwell. You know how it works, its sad but fact.

You have unrealistic expectations. The world just doesn't work that way.

The slot was probably booked weeks ago when we were riding high, or possibly even before the season started. If he'd pulled out it would immediately have started rumours about all not being well at the club and/or a rift with Agar. Guaranteed.

IMO he did what any decent CE would have done in the circumstances - damage limitation. Bear in mind he is responsible to shareholders and will also be aware that sponsors will be listening.

There are many more things to get upset about our current situation than an unimportant appearance by the CE on a radio show. It was nowt and some of the overreactions to it have been laughable TBH.

And folk would still have complained just as loudly if the club had vetoed certain questions.

FWIW we have played some good rugby this season and scored some very good trys. That has fallen away in recent weeks, mainly down to the application of the players IMO.

We have played some OK rugby. We have played a couple or out of form teams and got results.

You dont think we've played some good stuff this season? Particularly in the game at Home to Cats and Away at Bradford? I'd like to see us attack from our own half more but I'm not sure we have the players to do it because it seems every time we try we cough the ball and then go into our shells. When we have been winning the forward battle and had good field position we have played some decent stuff and scored some very good trys. Unfortunately the effort from the players has dropped off in recent weeks so we have been limited in what we can create.

Paul King was sat next to Rule, why wasnt the questions about recent form aimed at him? He is one of the squad and indeed played in the last 2 game!!!

Surely he is better qualified to answer the question regards team performance.

Yep - more effort required. SL is too close a competition to be deciding which games to put 100% in and which don't matter, as we have found out recently.
