From what I've seen of Herbert, he's looks really really poor.

tbf he looked poor in early part of season when he was being asked to do the organising scrum half role. since jeffries took over that role he's reverted to standoff which is more his natural position and he's looking better every week. that said I'd only retain him if we can't find someone better.

After watching the Cowboys /Warriors game this morning , Why the hell are we bringing Heremaia over when Obst would be more than capable at 9. Waste of a spot imo.

Can't judge him on one game though Bones, but I do agree it really is a wierd signing unless there's something going to happen which none of us know about.

With Newton getting some decent reviews also , Hull may have shot themselves in the foot with this signing.

I'd talk to Luke Burgess but if he's planning on moving to the NRL I wouldn't take it further for this season.

Obst then with Horne and Turner in halfs....not ideal but better than playing Newton who is nowhere near and dont think he is training with 1st team either.

No...but would if they are nowhere near for 1st team action,which,imo Newton isnt having seen him actually play for the U-20s and not going on something you cant possibly see....I have said that Aldous,Bowen and to a extent,Crooks,could step up to 1st team level.

So we should play youngsters who you think are ready in positions were quite well covered in, but ignore the one in ft training in a position we could be short in?

Stop being a pedantic git,it doesnt work...all im saying,is that actually seeing Newton play,he isnt ready for 1st team rugby as he has not got the build yet but that is just my opinion...if you have seen different all the way from Aus,then you are entitled to your opinion...the players i mentioned could play 1st team in my opinion and should have done v Oldham in the cup....the eay option would be to put Williams in at 7,Horne at 6 and Obst covering 9 but,also imo,Williams isnt ready either...i admit he has a great kicking game but little else....Its amazing what actually happens when you watch a match...i admit i havent seen anything of Mckinnon,Seymour and the other one but will take your opinion as you have actually seen them play.
