He's got a point that everything he'd done had been in the West, but there must have been better ways than giving it to Rovers. Giving it specifically for the new North Stand instead of allowing it to be used for players probably wouldn't have created such a reaction to the money.

If his plans DO come to fruition then at what time of the year do you think building work on the stadium extension will take place?

What has he done actually, he bought hull city for £1 (correct me if i am wrong) it was going to be for more but a loan repayment was becoming due and he had bartlet over a barrel so he deposited £1m in an escrow account and forced him to sell. (I seem to have seen that figure somewhere else).

What exactly has he invested in hull city - I would imagine ( this is just my opinion) that he has guaranteed the loan repayments using the premier league parachute payments as security this might not cover it all but you can guarantee that city's wage bill going forward apart from bullard will not be anywhere near the top 5 clubs in the championship. He is very clever - buying young players with potential that will have a higher resale value if needed.

I may be wrong but I cannot see hull city getting anywhere near the PL in the next few years and the sports village dream is just that.

They might be some more facilities and a hotel/casino development.

Personally I not trust the guy (I dont know him) but on his radio interviews he just seems to say what everyone wants to here. He also said that the KC stadium was not really worth anything (one of his past radio interviews - when asked how much he would buy it for) because it was not generating enough for the council.

Wow I go away on a bit of business and all hell breaks loose! Looking over the story as a whole it strikes me as the strategy could be to create panic in the first place.
Allam wants to buy the KC, and without going into the reasoning behind it etc let's just take this as his current goal. Of course city aren't going to object to this as he owns them, but FC as a club would, and rightly should (again we don't need to go into the reasons here). Whilst it's true that in the long term this would probably be as significant to him as a p!ss in the ocean - comparison of revenues, significance of premiership football, no contract being watertight etc etc - certainly in the short term it could cause a load of grief both legally and politically and ultimately grief costs money.
If Allam therefore mentions the good old merger he knows it will create a bit of a storm...and then if he loans our red and White neighbours a million it might get people thinking he wants them to be part of the KC/wants to kick us out/is starting the merger ball rolling/insert your own worst fear here (plus it puts him further in good books with the council). It clearly seems to have done that from the comments I've read up to now. If you can create enough fear that you might end up with nothing then the deal which didn't look appealing in the first place doesn't seem all that bad...and thus the grief is avoided and he gets his way.

Or to put it another way its like snogging girl B in order to make girl A want you more.

If all goes to his plan then he can then just recall the million from rovers (regardless of the consequences, not his problem of course), or worst comes to worst and he doesn't get his way he can turn the loan into and investment in rovers and go with plan b.

He's already tried to leverage the council in the KC issue with his daft Melton proposal, and it just seems to me he could now be trying to leverage us with his daft rovers loan.

What if the allams are doing with hull and dobbins what there doing with the council . Meaning if they don't get kc there of to Melton . What if they want to buy hull and had talks but kath and co but they are refusing to sell . So by giving money to dobbins there trying to get hull to panic and force them to sell ?

Now the Stadium is built it cost the Council nothing both Clubs and business pay for the up keep of
the Stadium .To build a Sporting Centre will cost a lot of money plus and the cost of K C Stadium / West park / and the land that the Fair ground (put a price on that lot )

The more amazing thing is, the wealthy person concluding it was a good idea to give a 7 figure sum to a company which services less than 10 % of East Hull and then have the gumption to suggest that he is already helping out Hull FC by allowing us the use of the KC.

All this after an interview on Humberside, where he "didn't want to be seen taking sides"

He might have given Bartlett £1, but that was because of the mess that we were in. He then paid off the immediate debts out of his own pocket, between 10 and 12 million quid.

Assuming that our (Hull FCs) deal to stay at the KC is watertight, and there is no reason to suspect that it isn't, or even that Allam wants us out then I can't see how this can be in any way a bad thing that the area around our ground is getting improved.
