having just signed ferguson from wakey, they may need to offload and they do have options at hooker. robinson, carlisle and faiumu can all cover it for them.

Exactly, so the Giants wont see him as part of their long term plans but Hull might be happy to see him commit to them just till the end of the season.

Ferguson is a player I rate, good signing for Hudds.

Huddersfield would never let Lunt go as it'll be his last year.

Long terms hooking rotations with Houghton, plus we would still have 2 strong hookers if one of them got a knock. Obst can cover halves. The more competition the better IMO.

I'd agree with you. Someone mentioned (cba to check who) that Lunt has said he wants to test himself in the NRL and this was likely to be his last year at Hudds. Under those circumstances I could see Hudds letting him go to make room for other players that are more long term.
