You got Justin Carney because he was sacked for racism resulting in a lengthy ban and were pleased to welcome him. You stood by Ben Cockayne after criminal conviction for violent assault, some fans even making tshirts of support, only having to get rid following a racist social media episode and then paid a fee to get him back. A current player of yours is facing a 2 year ban for drug use and the mitigation cards are being zealously played. We're all tribal grubs, of course. I’m not sure how anyone can defend him.
He’s called a woman a slut, a whore and threatened to assault her.
Whether he is sober, tanked up on booze or high on class A is irrelevant. The issue is his abusive and threatening behaviour.
Radford had talked a lot about culture, standards off the field and the professional expectations he has of his players. Kelly has put him in a position where he either has to act and release his best player, or undermine everything he has said in recent weeks.
