We won't be signing a stand off so I wouldn't worry about it. Horne will be SO next season and then what happens after that will depend on his form and fitness over the season.

TBH I would like to see Yeaman, Hall & Briscoe actually learn from a guy who has been a top centre in his career such as Tate. Yeaman came on leaps and bounds when we had some decent centres due to him been able to learn from them.

If we are ever to see the best of Hall & Briscoe then we need a guy who has proven quality so he can help them in their development, lets face it Yeaman has not progressed much since we've had no quality in the centres.

Whether we lkike it or not we still need imports to help us improve our team and players alike.

Let the experienced players we have next season guide them such as Yeaman (like it or not he is an international centre) coupled with that we have 2 (Raynor / Calserwood) international wingers put R.Horne / S.long and berro (who if I am right was also an outstanding centre before moving to Hooker) that is alot of experience who can guide and coach a younger player in the game . In my oponion we need to give Hall / Briscoe a chance at their natural position both have shown they are good enough and old enough for the super league and the time has come to let them have a season in the team.
Also if a young player doesn't know what they are doing wrong then the coaching team should be developing this and not allowing a young player to contiue to make the same mistake , but then that would take a quality coach to do that and that is were the jury is still out with me.

Couldn`t agree more Horne will be our 6 next season, i think we will see a different Horne with Long at 7 and behind a pack that hopefully will not get dominated like this season.

I would assume we are either looking at a right centre or even possibly a full back with Tansey being used as a utility back, lets hope the quota situation is filled soon.

Tansey is our fb and has looked very good we dont need to sign a Fb

I've heard rumours about both Raynor and Calderwood leaving, never given them much credence up until recently.

It seems that Horne just isn't doing the business at stand off and should not really be played there. Some people argue that he just needs a good scrum half to be his foil. But a 6 should be a playmaker and is Richard Horne one? A lot of people have told me he is more suited to be a centre, full back or loose forward where he can exploit his running and support play. I think Jamie Rooney could be a good signing for you.

when rich horne was on fire in 2006 and scored loads of tries, he had a half-back partnership that was consistently effective

take away his partner, give him a few injuries and his form drops

add sean long, some good forwards and i have faith (albeit bias too) that rich will be a quality 6 again

until then all we can do is speculate cos there's far too many factors around at the moment which are no doubt hampering the horne

I think you'll find that a 6 should be a playmaker, you can't say that Paul Cooke was/is not a playmaker. You all make out Horne to be this great player but obviously isn't doing it at half back and has done nothing. He is loyal and a good professional and club man.

i think horne is better at full back.he looks solid enough and has a decent rugby brain but isnt the most creative.attack from fullback he can exploit gaps in the line.tansey could possibly play 6 and im sure someones said he fancies a try.
