Does ellis have an EGP? I thought he'd copped a ban earlier in the season

i read somewhere that he has an EGP but he did use one in april 16 on a grade B charge

The rfl article on this weeks charges says he has an EGP. Last used an EGP in April 2016.

That's the problem with the EGP, players basically encouraged to plead guilty when they aren't. Ellis should get s.o.s and Connor should get a charity boxing match with the weasel Burrow.

Think we still have enough options to be able to compete at home and win the game. Ellis is a big loss, though not as big as it used to be still a big loss in terms of his presence.

Out of interest apart from Manfredi and Flower who would you drop to get the other 3 into the 17?

Bower can't play because of the cap, so Thompson or Turgut centre if Carlos not fit.

Green will be missing as well.

Realistically I think we're missing Manfredi and Flower from a first choice team. A lot of fans would pick Escare at fullback with Tomkins and Williams in the halves and leave one of Powell or Leuluai off the bench but Wane wouldn't.

Joel Tomkins is apparently fit for the game and Shorrocks clearly wouldn't be in our first choice 17.

I think Hull are strong enough to cope with the absentees and it should be a cracking match. It must win for us and it's a game Hull would really love to win to avoid a battle for a top four spot in the last couple of weeks.

People have criticised the Super 8's previously because the top 4 have been decided so early. Definitely not this time. 3rd vs 5th and 4th vs 6th with a few weeks to go and Hull vs Wakey and Wakey vs Wigan also and Hull might need to go to Cas final week and need a result. Going to be good to watch.

I see rat boy from leeds took his EGP in the end. Big decision not to send him off last week as it would probably have swung the game in our favour.

As for us, best case scenario we have michaels, green, bin man and ellis missing which we should be able to cope with.

Worst case michaels, green, bin man, ellis, tuimavave, griffin, watts and mini which would realistically see us with only a slim chance of picking up the points. I'd guess somewhere between the 2 but I don't expect tuimavae to play at the minimum. I think griffin, watts and mini will be back.

Anyone any idea how long it takes to recover from an appendix op? I'd guess green will struggle to play again this season

I reckon about 6 weeks, so very unlikely to regain full fitness in that time.

I'm sure there are exceptions, but it will depend on the individual and type of "work".

Players don't always get punished enough for foul play. Sneyd's crocodile roll on McGuire a couple of years ago at Headingley a perfect example of a player getting off softly.

ban length was correct imo seeing as mcdermott tried to sway the panel into thinking mcguire was out for weeks when in reality it was 1 game!

as for burrow, to some on here he will be viewed as a grub for his headbutt just because he took offence to the hand off from connor! imo video ref should have viewed the incident just like the ellis one earlier in the game, no doubt he had, burrow would've walked

A head butt is a straight red so both the ref and VR bottled it.

If anyone has read League Weekly Cummings column absolutely slates Hulls indiscipline and says we crossed the line with the ref.

I don't understand why he didn't view it when it was plainly intentional if Child hadn't seen it. VR was quick enough to whisper in refs ear about he Ellis incident which was clearly not intentional.

Ban length was around 2 weeks too short, doesn't matter what the coach said. What are you views on Radfords comments about wishing he could've got away with dropping the head on someone? Perfectly fine I imagine?

I haven't heard radfords' interview, so cant comment, but the arm flapping from mcdermott after that tackle proved it was way over the top for a player who missed 1 game, the length of the ban was correct, 2 games irrc
