Are you for real?
How many have hull played in lately? how many have they won? How many grand finals have hull won? leeds have won 5 from the last 6. 6 from the last 9.
You say only 4 but that has been all the domestic finals available to them. Let's not get into a d*ck measuring contest here because you will lose.

Of course we'll lose. You've proved you're the biggest dick on here. Are you Leeds PR manager, because all you've done so far is preach how wonderful your lot are. The season's not over yet and you lost the only final you've appeared in this year.

| I wish Briscoe was staying with Hull. He's been a great player for us. However, he's out of contract, we've made him an offer, however it's totally up to him were he goes next.
There's nothing the club can do about it and it's not like they are selling him against our wishes.
At the end of the day, players come, players go, but the Club and the fans remain a lifetime.

| Hetherington has always wanted TB at Leeds, ever since his Mrs got him from Featherstone. They just never wanted to pay a fee for him. Briscoe has never had an Aussie club actually enquire about him and I think it has been a massive smoke screen him saying he wanted to play over there, it was an excuse for him not extending his contract with Hull.
I don't think FC will miss him, his career has never kicked on.

| I was told Briscoe was given 2 weeks to make up his mind, he didn't get back to Mcrea in time ,and when he did he was told he was too late, they had already used the money on other players and there wasn't any money left within the salary cap so he has now signed for Leeds

The fuss made was about our retention of youth/academy players, over which someone at the club lost their job IIRC. Since then we've seen Lineham, Crooks, Green, Shaul and Cunningham signed up, thereby retaining our best prospects. I'd say the lessons have been learnt. If we had our best young players like, say, Scott Taylor coming through and begging for a release, I'd be a bit more concerned. Maybe not as bitter as Hudgell was about lack of "loyalty", mind.
Tom Briscoe, as you know, would be a somewhat different proposition transferring to Leeds than Luke. What with his international appearances and 150 tries or whatever it is. We made him a big offer and he's been talking to Australian clubs, rugby union, also Leeds. As a young player based in the West Riding, Leeds must be hugely appealing with their silverware track record. Maybe if we'd hung on for him to decide and risked losing out on other players (including upgrading existing contracts) it might have been possible to keep him, but it wasn't, so I wish him well.

Graham Davey left the club shortly after Luke Briscoe signed for Leeds.
He's a Leeds fan judging by his twitter feed.

| Good luck to him in whatever he decides.
I can see why Leeds are appealing to him, their 1-5 could be great next year.

Really? If you don't think that the current crop of players they have have been something special and almost impossible to replace, then that's up to you.
Name me one club that have managed to back up a generation of success, with another one?

He wont , cos there isn't one .
In the salary capped era only Saints and Bradford have dominated the finals has much as Leeds , and as they found , replacing a golden generation is not easy .
There is every chance that with shrewd management and good coaching , Hull FC could be on the brink of something special . Losing Tom Briscoe wouldn't be the end of the world .
There are some excellent youngsters coming thru at Hull and Wigan and Leeds to name but three , how they are managed is the key to future success IMO .

| Tom for me hasn't fulfilled his potential.A good winger but for the past 2 seasons he has been steady at best.
He is weak under the high ball . I always thought he was very lucky to get a deal in the NRL.
Maybe a change of Club will reignite his career .I for one am glad we are not tying up a massive space on our salary cap on Tom Briscoe.

Why would you say that?
Firm grounds, good service he'd be a revelation.
There are some bang average wings, some efficient wingers and a lack of truly top end wingers in oz.
Who are Australia's wingers? No one can claim a spot. Origin on wed didn't feature one out n out winger/2 centres a fullback, n a predominantly centre who plays a bit of wing.
Nz have perrett a wing after being average fullback n vatuvia who's a physical freak but can n does make mistakes to make youth players blush.
Not all down under is golden.

I'm not sledging him.
He's been excellent for us, once again.
I wouldn't have him on the wing in the NRL that's all.
Rather play him through the centre if I had to utilise him, personally.
