ALBERT KELLY CAUGHT IN UGLY, DRUNKEN OUTBURST

Former NRL player Albert Kelly has been filmed launching a drunken, foul-mouthed outburst in the UK.
The Australian five-eighth, who had spells with Cronulla and Gold Coast, is currently playing with Hull FC in the English Super League.
Kelly has been caught abusing a young McDonald's worker in a video shared on social media.
In the video, which can be seen above, he swears at an18 year old girl, calling her a "slut" and a "whore", and intimating he’ll put her on the concrete”
He also threatens a young male worker telling him “he’s not fu**ing about “
Kelly's club Hull FC has yet to comment publicly on the video. Inside Sport has contacted them for comment.
The 27-year-old has been linked to a return to the NRL in 2019.
He previously was sacked by the Sharks in 2012 and then had his contract with Newcastle terminated for smashing a lightbulb in a nightclub.

Notwithstanding your moral posturing on Albert Kelly and 3 greatest evils identification backed up by bystander apathy, I missed the strongly worded condemnation of Rovers signing Justin Carney thanks to the opportunity presented by another club sacking him for racial abuse (yes that's right, one of the 3 great evils). I genuinely try to keep the Rovers board free from bigoted abuse. Outside that I have less influence. I haven’t impacted on the generally relaxed towards Kelly’s behaviour here and, as a Rovers fan, the extent to which I have challenged it has maybe provoked worse. Do you, for example, feel it difficult as a woman and/or Hull FC fan, to challenge it? Or are my posts really the ones that leap out as beyond the pale, and in need of most urgent questioning?



You’ll have to remind me if I did say anything about Carney’s abuse of Bailey, as I can’t recall. But to be clear, i’m not holding Hull FC to a higher standard, just laughing at their (potential) discomfiture.

To summarise:
You've called for condemnation of Kelly, quite a lot, on here over the last 24 hours and cited bigoted comments as a worse thing than Class A drugs. Fair enough. It seems odd therefore that you were far less discomforted by Hull KR signing Justin Carney due to his sacking for, er, bigoted comments. And also a bit shoulder shruggy about acknowledged instances casual misogyny. My beef I guess is that you're trying to disguise the same basic tribal hypocrisy we are all guilty of with a veneer of moral impartiality, which doesn't wash. Back to the Class A drugs thing for a moment as an aside; I assume you meant use of, rather than dealing in, as something to take relatively lightly?

That debates been had. Unfortunately prohibition continues despite the overwhelming evidence that it is a dumb policy. It was tried with alcohol in USA. Violence crime and murder shot up and the dealers became the richest most powerful....that's not happening now with drug prohibition is it?
