Agree totally we have two young talented British centres who deserve their shot at a starting position , we should be developing Briscoe and Hall now and that means giving them a shot in the first team (Both have proven they are more than capable of holding their own and impressing in super league) they will make mistakes all yougsters do its a way of learning . If we are to sign another overseas would rather see Moa signed as I think that would be more beneficial to us then an injury prone centre.

Youngsters don't always learn from mistakes, so it's not their way of learning. They may not know what they're doing wrong. That is why we need an EXPERIENCED world class centre to guide these along. We have a world class hooker, scurm half, prop and second rower in the team now. We have too well established international wingers. We just have youths in the centres and the FB role. We need someone to guide them.

Far too many English centres don't get their chance because of overseas signings- it seems to be a position clubs like to buy in. Too many young centres become second row/ loose forwards because of a lack of opportunity in their natural position- and the last thing either England- or FC in particular need is another second row forward. Probably our most exciting player now is Briscoe, and Hall looks to have really benefited from his time away.

And get rid of Horne!?

If we can land a top class 6, Horne can move to centre or full back.

People have just been moaning that signing Tate is pointless seeing as we already have Briscoe, Hall and maybe Turner for the centre spot also even Whiting so why put Horne their? I've never wanted Horne at fb. Tansey will be spot on at fb imo and should stay there.

Imo don't put Horne at centre, if we aren't signing Tate then stick one of the youngsters there who are at the beginning of their careers not someone who is half way through it. For me give it to Hall he looks twice the player at centre than Horne would be.

Based on the evidence of this season that would be a backward step for both of them.

I thought Horne was alright at Full back. He would also be a great support player in attack, similar to Briscoe. He can catch, tackle and be in the right position. Tansey for my eye (and his own words IIRC) would look like giving us a few more running attacking options. Just my opinion mind, but he looks suspect a little at fullback (defensively)

We won't be signing a stand off so I wouldn't worry about it. Horne will be SO next season and then what happens after that will depend on his form and fitness over the season.

TBH I would like to see Yeaman, Hall & Briscoe actually learn from a guy who has been a top centre in his career such as Tate. Yeaman came on leaps and bounds when we had some decent centres due to him been able to learn from them.

If we are ever to see the best of Hall & Briscoe then we need a guy who has proven quality so he can help them in their development, lets face it Yeaman has not progressed much since we've had no quality in the centres.

Whether we lkike it or not we still need imports to help us improve our team and players alike.

Let the experienced players we have next season guide them such as Yeaman (like it or not he is an international centre) coupled with that we have 2 (Raynor / Calserwood) international wingers put R.Horne / S.long and berro (who if I am right was also an outstanding centre before moving to Hooker) that is alot of experience who can guide and coach a younger player in the game . In my oponion we need to give Hall / Briscoe a chance at their natural position both have shown they are good enough and old enough for the super league and the time has come to let them have a season in the team.
Also if a young player doesn't know what they are doing wrong then the coaching team should be developing this and not allowing a young player to contiue to make the same mistake , but then that would take a quality coach to do that and that is were the jury is still out with me.
